"There is the politician and there is us, the practical ones": perceptions about politics from a black woman activist of the Black Women Association from Morro da Polícia - Porto Alegre

Resumo: This article presents the perceptions about politics from a community activist who is a member of the black women Association from Morro da Polícia (Police Slum) located at Porto Alegre's outskirts. An excerpt selection from interviews and conversations with Rosa, the Association's president, was taken during fieldwork between July and September of 2017. This selection aims the analysis of political perceptions from de viewpoint developed by the anthropology of politics. By following Rosa's narratives since its biography highlighted the different designations related to the subject, which therefore links to Rosa's actions within the association along with other agents from the community activism universe.

Com o objetivo de analisar estas concepções desde a perspectiva desenvolvida pela antropologia da política, apresentou-se um recorte a partir de entrevistas e conversas com Rosa, a presidenta da associação, que ocorreram durante a realização de um trabalho de campo nos meses de julho a setembro de 2017.
