Resumo: Objective: To present how the OER Biblio Saúde repository operates as a continuing education channel for health sciences librarians and at the same time contributes to the socialization of knowledge and informational practices developed by this population. Method: It uses a questionnaire for surveying the needs for continuing education, as well as exploratory research in open educational resource repositories in order to identify resources on the identified categories. It develops the repository in the Omeka software and describes the resources using the Dublin Core metadata standard, opting for organizing information content by collections, labeling system by textual provisions, using faceted search and information retrieval method, limiting to a simple search. This research has a qualitative, quantitative approach, with a population sample of 80 participants, in a potential universe of 206. Results: It brings together 20 different collections with approximately 100 educational resources on different categories, among which we highlight: information practice and evidence-based librarianship; and evidence-based librarianship. Most of the resources are massive open online courses and articles. Conclusions: Health science librarians have produced different types of understanding about their knowledge and practices, however, these are still little socialized among their peers. We advocate that these professionals should engage in initiatives to promote open and active education in order to contribute to the learning processes of their peers. The OER Biblio Saúde repository is an innovative initiative in the field and should be improved theoretically and empirically by peers.
