Legal data from the perspective of Information Science: concept and typology with a view to the 2030 Agenda

Resumo: Objective: Classify and conceptualize the data used in legal instances with a view to be improving its management, use, reuse and enabling the achievement of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Method: It uses bibliographical research methods, to bring together theories on fairness of data and metadata, and on interoperability, the documentary method, to analyze national and international documents, and the exploratory method, with a qualitative approach, to highlight aspects of legal data. Result: It presents an original typology for the characterization of legal data, based on the taxonomy model of research data created by information scientists and a figure for viewing information called the horizontal tree, with its rows arranged from left to right, including the situations of its uses and applicability, and its conceptualization. Conclusions: The typology and concept proposed for legal data bring contributions, both to the field of Information Science and to the field of Law, about the analysis of the classes that involve the management, use, and reuse of these data, and enable the achievement of targets and indicators sought by the 2030 Agenda, providing sustainable legal information.

Conclusions: The typology and concept proposed for legal data bring contributions, both to the field of Information Science and to the field of Law, about the analysis of the classes that involve the management, use, and reuse of these data, and enable the achievement of targets and indicators sought by the 2030 Agenda, providing sustainable legal information.Objetivo: Clasificar y conceptualizar los datos utilizados en las instancias judiciales con miras a mejorar su gestión, uso, reutilización y posibilitar el logro de los objetivos de la Agenda 2030.Método: Utiliza métodos de investigación bibliográficos, para reunir teorías sobre la equidad de los datos y metadatos, y sobre la interoperabilidad, el método documental, para analizar documentos nacionales e internacionales, y el método exploratorio, con enfoque cualitativo, para resaltar aspectos de los datos legales. .Resultado: Presenta una tipología original para la caracterización de los datos jurídicos, basada en el modelo de taxonomía de los datos de investigación elaborado por los científicos de la información y una figura de visualización de la información denominada árbol horizontal, con sus filas dispuestas de izquierda a derecha, incluyendo las situaciones de sus usos y aplicabilidad, y su conceptualización.Conclusiones: La tipología y concepto propuesto para los datos jurídicos aportan aportes, tanto al campo de las Ciencias de la Información como al campo del Derecho, en lo que se refiere al análisis de las clases que implican la gestión, uso y reutilización de estos datos, y posibilitan la cumplimiento de metas e indicadores buscados por la Agenda 2030, brindando información jurídica sostenible.Objective: To propose a concept and typology for legal data with a view to the 2030 Agenda. Methods: The investigation is exploratory to fill the gaps that exist regarding the concept and characterization of legal data. It is applied in the legal context that is the core of legal information. A qualitative approach is adopted to describe the typology of these data, based on a pre-existing model. Results: Presents a structure in eight categories with an original typology for characterizing the classes of legal data.
