Resumo: The aim of the present study was to qualitatively analyze the social impact of full-timeeducation in students from the Classe 08 School of North Taguatinga, Distrito Federal,Brazil. A sample of 175 children between 6 and 12 years of age attending grades 1 to5 participated in the study. The volunteers practiced sports such as gymnastics, dance,handball and indoor soccer, and had music and computer lessons, during the morningor afternoon. A questionnaire containing 15 questions with three possible answers eachwas used. The results show that the children participating in the full-time educationproject improved their socialization, organization and discipline, feeding habits, andenhanced their knowledge on other kinds of sports, music, and computer programs.

Foi colhida uma amostra de 175 alunos do ensino fundamental, entre 6 e 12 anos, praticantes de atividades desportivas da educação em tempo integral como a ginástica rítmica, dança, handebol e futsal, além de música e informática, nos turnos matutino e vespertino. Foi utilizado um questionário contendo 15 perguntas e três alternativas como possibilidade de resposta.
