Sportivization of gymnastics in Ceará: a history view from the print media (1990 to 2009)

Resumo: This study combined bibliographic research with documental research, with a historical review in the two most widely circulated newspapers in the state of Ceará, between the 1990s and 2009. The objective was to record historical traces and agents of insertion and legitimation of Gymnastics linked to sports institutions in Ceará. From this design, we identify the insertion of Gymnastics being carried out from the 1990s, with the arrival of the Rhythmic Gymnastics coach Ester Vieira in Ceará. An important moment of this practice was registered from the Ceará print media, which brought the first movements of sportivized Gymnastics in the state. Furthermore, it was possible to identify institutions and people, which we called "agents" for the development of Gymnastics in Ceará.

El objetivo fue registrar las huellas históricas y los agentes de inserción y legitimación de la Gimnasia vinculada al deporte. instituciones en Ceará. A partir de ese diseño, identificamos la inserción de la Gimnasia que se viene realizando a partir de la década de 1990, con la llegada de la entrenadora de Gimnasia Rítmica Ester Vieira a Ceará. Un momento importante de esta práctica fue registrado por la prensa cearense, que trae los primeros movimientos de la Gimnasia deportiva en el estado. Además, fue posible identificar instituciones y personas, a las que llamamos "agentes" para el desarrollo de la Gimnasia en Ceará.Esse estudo aliou a pesquisa bibliográfica à pesquisa documental, com um resgate histórico nos dois jornais de maior circulação do estado do Ceará, entre as décadas de 1990 e o ano de 2009. O objetivo foi registrar vestígios históricos e agentes de inserção e legitimação das Ginásticas ligadas a instituições esportivas no Ceará. A partir deste delineamento, identificamos a inserção da Ginástica sendo realizada a partir da década de 1990, com a chegada da treinadora paulista de Ginástica Rítmica Ester Vieira ao Ceará. Registrou-se um momento importante desta prática a partir da mídia impressa cearense, que traz os primeiros movimentos da Ginástica esportivizada no Estado.
