Resumo: The aim of this study was to present and analyze the profile of managers responsible for sports and leisure in 15 municipalities in the Southern Coastal Identity Territories of Bahia, seeking to generate reflections on the possibilities of developing public policies in the region. Data collection was carried out in loco and through a virtual questionnaire using Google Forms. The data pointed to the need for a discussion that addresses the importance of the degree of training / specialization of managers in terms of promoting leisure and sport, understood in this research as citizens' rights and therefore, should be the target of a consistent and regular public policy of municipalities in the region.

La recolección de datos se realizó in loco y mediante un cuestionario virtual utilizando Google Forms. Los datos apuntan a la necesidad de una discusión que aborde la importancia del grado de formación / especialización de los gestores en materia de fomento del ocio y el deporte, entendido en esta investigación como derechos ciudadanos y, por tanto, debe ser objeto de una constante y regular política pública de los municipios de la región.  O objetivo deste estudo foi apresentar e analisar o perfil dos gestores responsáveis pelo esporte e lazer de 15 municípios do Territórios de Identidade Litoral Sul da Bahia, buscando gerar reflexões em torno das possibilidades de desenvolvimento das políticas públicas da região. A coleta de dados foi realizada in loco e por meio de um questionário virtual utilizando o Google Formulários.
