Resumo: The objective of this work was to draw an overview of the scientific production written in theses, dissertations and scientific articles about Muay Thai. Papers written in Portuguese, English and Spanish were analyzed in order to ascertain the thematic profile of research related to Muay Thai, highlighting the main authors / co-authors and institutions, as well as their collaborative networks. The following databases were used: CAPES Journal Portal, Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), accessed through the CAPES interface. Being analyzed a thesis, 12 dissertations, 88 academic articles, totaling 101 listed items. It concludes a scenario, somewhat promising for the development of this sport in the world context, making it important to highlight how Muay Thai has been researched with the academic environment.

Se analizaron documentos escritos en portugués, inglés y español para determinar el perfil temático de la investigación relacionada con el muay thai, destacando los principales autores / coautorías e instituciones, así como sus redes de colaboración. Se utilizaron las siguientes bases de datos: CAPES Journal Portal, Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), al que se accede a través de la interfaz CAPES. Una tesis, 12 disertaciones, 88 artículos académicos fueron analizados, totalizando 101 artículos listados. Concluye un escenario, en cierto modo, prometedor para el desarrollo de esta modalidad en el contexto mundial, por lo que es importante mostrar cómo se ha investigado el Muay Thai en el entorno académico.O objetivo deste trabalho foi traçar um panorama da produção científica escrita em teses, dissertações e artigos científicos sobre o Muay Thai. Foram analisados trabalhos escritos em português, inglês e espanhol a modo de averiguar o perfil temático das pesquisas relacionadas ao Muay Thai, salientando as principais autorias/coautorias e instituições, bem como suas redes de colaboração. Foram utilizadas como base de dados: Portal de Periódicos CAPES, Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), acessados por meio da interface da CAPES. Sendo analisados uma tese, 12 dissertações, 88 artigos acadêmicos, totalizando 101 itens elencados.
