Resumo: Objective: The objective of the study was to carry out an integrative literature review on the prevalence of injuries in Muay Thai practitioners.Material and Methods: The study is characterized as an integrative literature review. A search was performed using the electronic databases Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), PubMed, EBSCOhost, CAPES Journal Portal and Google Scholar, in Portuguese and English. Descriptors used were Muay Thai and injury. The collection resulted in 483 articles, with eight articles selected. Results: Eight articles were found that met the inclusion criteria. Presenting three from the Portuguese language (37.5%) and five from the English language (62.5%). Focusing on the main theme addressed in the studies, seven present Muay Thai and the risk of injury in its content. Only one covers other martial arts, and is also included, as it specifies the most affected injuries well. Conclusion: From the reading of the eight articles, the results obtained from this integrative review recommend that the Muay Thai martial art has high injury rates, as it is a sport of direct contact with the opponent and has the lower limbs as the most affected place.
