Overview of scientific production on athletics (1990 - 2017): an analysis of scientific articles in three languages with emphasis on the pedagogical subarea

Resumo: With the objective of analyzing how scientific production on athletics is available, in Portuguese, English and Spanish under the time frame of 27 years 1990 - 2017, with emphasis on the pedagogical subarea, we carried out a systematic review subsidized by scientific articles arranged in 4 databases, Lilacs, Sportsdiscus, Periódicos/Capes and Scielo. The results and analyses were organized according to the subareas of knowledge production in Physical Education: pedagogical, sociocultural and biodynamic. The studies of the pedagogical subarea were classified as School Physical Education and not School Physical Education. For school physical education, the productions were analyzed under the categorization of intervention, diagnosis/description and reasoning. The data revealed the highest incidence in the scientific production allocated in the biodynamic subarea. In the pedagogical subarea, the highest volume of production is available in physical education from the perspective of intervention studies.

Los resultados y análisis se organizaron en función de las subáreas de producción de conocimiento en Educación Física: pedagógica, sociocultural y biodinámica. Los estudios de la subárea pedagógica fueron clasificados como Educación Física Escolar y no Educación Física Escolar. Para la educación física escolar, las producciones se analizaron bajo la categorización de la intervención, el diagnóstico/descripción y el razonamiento. Los datos revelaron la mayor incidencia en la producción científica asignada en la subárea biodinámica. En la subárea pedagógica, el mayor volumen de producción está disponible en la educación física desde la perspectiva de los estudios de intervención.Com o objetivo de analisar como se dispõe a produção científica sobre o atletismo, em português, inglês e espanhol sob o recorte temporal de 27 anos 1990 – 2017, com ênfase na subárea pedagógica, efetivamos uma revisão sistemática subsidiada por artigos científicos disposta em 4 bases de dados, Lilacs, Sportsdiscus, Periódicos/Capes e Scielo. Os resultados e análises foram organizados conforme as subáreas da produção do conhecimento em Educação Física: pedagógica, sociocultural e biodinâmica. Os estudos da subárea pedagógica foram classificados enquanto Educação Física escolar e não Educação Física escolar. Para Educação Física escolar, as produções foram analisadas sob a categorização de intervenção, diagnóstico/descrição e fundamentação. Os dados revelaram a maior incidência na produção científica alocada na subárea biodinâmica.
