Resumo:  The main objective of this study is to carry out an analysis, considering planning, goals and funding from the Federal Government for some actions relating to sport, specially thinking about its relations with the proposals contained in the Candidature Dossier and the Legacy Brochure of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016. The research is qualitative and uses the documental analyses and open interviews as tools. The conclusion is that, meanwhile, the priority is being given to the promises of delivery of infrastructure for the Games and to the development of high performance sport.

The conclusion is that, meanwhile, the priority is being given to the promises of delivery of infrastructure for the Games and to the development of high performance sport.  El objetivo del estudio es de realizar un análisis, considerando la planificación, las metas y la financiación del Gobierno Federal para acciones referentes al deporte, pensando principalmente sus relaciones con las propuestas insertadas en el Legajo de Candidatura y en los Cuadernos de Legados para los Juegos Olímpicos y Paralímpicos de 2016. La investigación tiene carácter cualitativo y utiliza como instrumentos el análisis documental y entrevistas narrativas. Se concluyó que, de momento, la prioridad está siendo dada a las promesas de entrega de infraestructura para la realización de los Juegos y para el desarrollo del deporte de alto ingreso. O objetivo do estudo é realizar uma análise, considerando o planejamento, as metas e o financiamento do Governo Federal para ações referentes ao esporte, pensando principalmente suas relações com as propostas inseridas no Dossiê de Candidatura e nos Cadernos de Legados para os Jogos Olímpicos e Paraolímpicos de 2016. A pesquisa tem caráter qualitativo e utiliza como instrumentos a análise documental e entrevistas narrativas.
