Resumo: The objective of this theoretical essay was to offer and debate a set of arguments that make possible the understanding of the participation of transgender people in Sport. As a source of inspiration, we look at the "letter", widely publicized on social networks, by former athlete Ana Paula Henkel. The letter reveals the opposite position of the former athlete to the participation of trans athlete Tifanny Abreu in the National Volleyball Superliga, thus highlighting the argumentative use in an eristic way, disregarding facts and concepts discussed and publicized in the sports and academic environment. In this sense, we may suspect that the thematic thematic has elicited debates limited to the biomedical discourse and disregarding the sociocultural context of this insertion of these athletes. Finally, it is important to emphasize the need for further research on the subject for careful monitoring of the limits and possibilities of trans participation in Sport.

Y en el caso de que se trate de una persona, La carta revela la posición opuesta del antiguo atleta a la participación de un atleta Tifanny Abreu en el National Volleyball Superliga, afirmando la argumentación de uso en una forma errática, disgregar los hechos y los conceptos discutidos en los deportes y el medio ambiente. En este sentido, podemos especular que el temático temático ha eliminado debates limitados a la biomédica discourse y disregar el contexto sociocultural de esta inserción de estos atletas. Por último, es importante para acentuar la necesidad de una investigación en el tema para un seguimiento de las limitaciones y posibilidades de la integración en el deporte.O objetivo deste ensaio teórico consistiu em evidenciar um conjunto de argumentações que possibilite a compreensão da participação de pessoas transgênero no Esporte. Como fonte de inspiração, debruçamo-nos sobre a “carta”, amplamente divulgada nas redes sociais, pela ex-atleta Ana Paula Henkel. A carta revela a posição contrária da ex-atleta à participação da atleta trans Tifanny Abreu na Superliga nacional de voleibol, despontando-se um uso argumentativo de forma erística que desconsidera conceitos discutidos e divulgados no meio esportivo e acadêmico. Nesse sentido, podemos desconfiar que essa temática tem suscitado debates limitados ao discurso biomédico e desconsiderado o contexto sociocultural da inserção desses/as atletas.
