Resumo: | This article is an introduction to the special issue Childhood, Racisms and Early Childhood Education, which brings together eighteen articles and an interview. It is divided into four sections: I. Know, Reflect and Analyze; II. Observe and Learn (At Childhood Education); III. Observe and Learn (Out of Childhood Education); and IV. Act (Transitions and Expressions). It begins by contextualizing the need to promote an anti-racist and inclusive education from childhood and the problems that arise with this undertaking. Both the theoretical-methodological essays and the articles that result from field research – in archives, schools, training spaces, recreational spaces, spaces linked to religious practices or other institutions, or even in the family – contribute to the understanding of devices, subjective and objective, related to manifestations of racism(s) and/or ethnic and racial discrimination during childhood and/or in the context of early childhood education. Daily experiences in the educational context are also taken into account, including relationships between teachers and educators and children and relationships between children themselves. |

Divide-se em quatro secções: I. Conhecer, Refletir e Analisar; II. Observar e Aprender (Na Educação Infantil); III. Observar e Aprender (Fora da Educação Infantil); e IV. Agir (Transições e Expressões). Começa por contextualizar a necessidade de promover uma educação antirracista e inclusiva desde a infância e os problemas que se colocam a esse empreendimento. Tanto os ensaios teórico-metodológicos, como os artigos que resultam de pesquisas de terreno – em arquivos, escolas, espaços de formação, lúdicos, ligados a práticas religiosas ou outras instituições, ou ainda na família – contribuem para a compreensão de dispositivos, subjetivos e objetivos, relativos a manifestações de racismo(s) e/ou discriminação étnica e racial durante a infância e/ou no contexto da educação infantil.
