Resumo: This article is a cut from the research entitled Happy Child Program: Happiness for Whom? which conducted an analysis of the federal program Criança Feliz. For this text, we defined as objective to discuss the actions and practices of the program provided to families. Based on the methodology of qualitative documentary research, an analysis of normative and guiding documents was carried out in order to understand the assumptions that the program defends. Our discussions were based on the theoretical framework of the critical field of social welfare policy studies, the State, early childhood education, and the feminist perspective of social reproduction, advocated by Arruzza; Bhattacharya; Fraser (2019) and Federici (2019; 2021), which places feminism beyond the category of class and productive work. In this sense, the analyses indicate that the definition of poverty determines to women and children a specific place mediated by compensatory education via parenting programs.

A qual realizou uma análise do programa federal Criança Feliz. Para esse texto, definimos como objetivo discutir as ações e práticas do Programa prestadas às famílias. A partir da metodologia da pesquisa documental de cunho qualitativo, foi realizada uma análise de documentos normativos e orientadores no intuito de apreender os pressupostos que o programa defende. Nossas discussões se pautaram no arcabouço teórico do campo crítico dos estudos da política de assistência social, do Estado, da educação infantil e da perspectiva feminista de reprodução social, defendida por Arruzza; Bhattacharya; Fraser (2019) e Federici (2019; 2021), a qual situa o feminismo para além da categoria de classe e trabalho produtivo.
