Resumo: | The present article aims to showcase the development of education for the teaching of English as L2/LA by looking at its evolution in technology from the models of Education 1.0 to 5.0 and its pedagogical implications regarding digital tools today. The authors show the importance of different digital resources when considering their applicability for developing skills in the English learning process, which may be included in both online and face-to-face education. The examples of digital tools include original activities proposed both for elementary and high school students as well as students in higher education and have proven to enhance the teaching and learning of English in times of Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT). |

É inegável que os recursos digitais desempenham um papel mais amplo hoje no tocante a sua aplicabilidade para o desenvolvimento de habilidades no processo de aprendizagem de inglês, tanto em métodos de ensino on-line quanto presenciais. Exemplos de ferramentas digitais incluem atividades originais propostas para alunos do ensino fundamental, médio e superior. A revisão da literatura e os pontos de vista dos autores sobre o assunto mostram que as ferramentas têm provado ser eficazes para aprimorar o ensino e a aprendizagem do inglês e desenvolver habilidades socioemocionais em tempos de Ensino Remoto de Emergência (ERE).
