Resumo: This article analyses the way referentiality and fiction work in Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald’s novel Save Me the Waltz, published in 1932, putting into perspective the genres autobiography and autobiographic novel. The considerable similarities between Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald’s life and the journey of main character Alabama Beggs blurs the boundary about how the autobiographical contents should be seem when writing about the self, even though there is also fiction, The discussions about those genres evoke Philippe Lejeune, specially his work O Pacto Autobiográfico: de Rousseau à internet, but also Alba Olmi, Eurídice Figueiredo, Cida Golin and Nora Catelli.

As discussões acerca desses gêneros evocam teoricamente Philippe Lejeune, Alba Olmi, Eurídice Figueiredo, Cida Golin e Nora Catelli.UFSC2021-06-07info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/desterro/article/view/7862410.5007/2175-8026.2021.e78624Ilha do Desterro A Journal of English Language, Literatures in English and Cultural Studies; Vol. 74 No. 2 (2021): Life WritingIlha do Desterro A Journal of English Language, Literatures in English and Cultural Studies; v. 74 n. 2 (2021): Escritas de Vida2175-80260101-4846reponame:Ilha do Desterroinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/desterro/article/view/78624/46609Copyright (c) 2021 Emanuelle Cristina de Oliveira Altierihttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessde Oliveira Altieri, Emanuelle CristinaAntonia Rapucci, Cleide 2021-06-09T17:52:26Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/78624Revistahttp://www.periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/desterroPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/desterro/oaiilha@cce.ufsc.br||corseuil@cce.ufsc.br||ilhadodesterro@gmail.com2175-80260101-4846opendoar:2021-06-09T17:52:26Ilha do Desterro - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false
