CHILDHOOD AND YOUTUBE:: THE CHILDREN’S RECEPTION OF DIGITAL AUDIOVISUAL NARRATIVES

Resumo: This article discusses about the mediations between the cultural context of Brazilian society and the process of meaning negotiation made by the children's audience with the videos digitally distributed by youtubers. The methodologies which guide this text are the focus group and the bibliographic research. It presents results from an empirical research that investigated the perceptions of YouTube users about performance in communication and thinks about them as from Performance Studies and Mediation Theory. The discussions in field highlighted the tendency of the collaborators to associate the youtubers’ performance with an authentic and improvised discourse.

Nossa hipótese sustenta que existem entre a narrativa dos youtubers e as crianças mecanismos de identificação evidentes e articulados entre si. Para analisar essa questão, utilizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica e o grupo focal como metodologias principais.
