Resumo: This essay proposes a critical reflection on the control of information on Spotify. Specifically, the writing discusses how Big Techs manage data and simulate a public space on private digital platforms. The effort is justified when we verify that, in the academic environment, there is the presence of a naive perspective that considers the internet as a free, democratic and public network. We resorted to the concepts of mediations (Martín-Barbero), strategies and tactics (Certeau) and communicational apparatus (Flusser) to weave ideas on the subject. The final considerations point to the submissiveness of user-interactors in the face of policies for the use of digital platforms.

Recurrimos a los conceptos de mediaciones (Martín-Barbero), estrategias y tácticas (Certeau) y dispositivos de comunicación (Flusser) para tejer ideas sobre el tema. Las consideraciones finales apuntan a la sumisión de los usuarios-interactores frente a las políticas de uso de las plataformas digitales.Este ensaio propõe uma reflexão crítica acerca do controle da informação no Spotify. Em específico, a escrita discorre como as Big Techs gerenciam dados e simulam nas plataformas digitais privadas um espaço público. Justifica-se o esforço ao verificarmos que, no meio acadêmico, há a presença de uma perspectiva ingênua que considera a internet como uma rede livre, democrática e pública. Recorremos aos conceitos de mediações (Martín-Barbero), estratégias e táticas (Certeau) e aparelhos comunicológicos (Flusser) para tecer ideias sobre o tema.
