Um dos focos de pesquisa da Linguística Aplicada é o estudo da toponímia, ou seja, o processo de nomeação de lugares. O objetivo geral foi realizar um levantamento linguístico-documental de topônimos bíblicos usados ??em línguas de sinais de alguns países da Europa (Itália, Grécia, Turquia, Chipre, Malta), do Oriente Médio (Israel, Palestina, Jordânia, Líbano, Síria e Iraque). ), da África (Egito e Líbia); e da América do Sul (Brasil). Os objetivos específicos são: i) fazer o levantamento dos topônimos de cidade presentes no Novo Testamento da Bíblia em português; ii) fazer o levantamento dos principais topônimos para montanhas, montes e vales, mares, rios, ilhas, jardins, tanques e lugares religiosos presentes na Bíblia em português; iii) fazer o levantamento de sinais topônimos bíblicos registrados em glossários e dicionários em línguas de sinais; iv) registrar, organizar e catalogar os sinais topônimos bíblicos encontrados nos levantamentos; v) escrever e analisar os sinais topônimos bíblicos apontando a motivação linguística de cada sinal encontrado. Apresentamos uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa abordando a metodologia de coleta e de análise, nas quais demonstramos, respectivamente, os critérios para a coleta dos topônimos bíblicos em línguas de sinais, bem como uma breve demonstração da motivação linguística na concepção de sinais de topônimos bíblicas que são utilizadas no desenvolvimento mais aprofundadas da pesquisa. Selecionamos o manual O Clamor do Silêncio (JMN, 1991) e o Manuário de Sinais Bíblicos (MSB, 2015) em Libras e outros em línguas de sinais. Apresentamos uma coleta de dados nos quadros e gráficos modificados pelo autor. A partir da apresentação e argumentação dos resultados, procedemos à discussão dos 74 sinais topônimos bíblicos encontrados. Para o desenvolvimento completo da pesquisa, foram coletados o restante dos sinais topônimos bíblicos selecionados, e realizadas as análises pertinentes aos conceitos dos sinais topônimos bíblicos, a explicação do sinal e a identificação de bases de motivação linguística (conceitual, histórica e cultural), a topografia do local e a iconicidade nas línguas de sinais. A partir da apresentação dos dados processamos os resultados obtidos após análise completamente realizada com gravação de vídeos dos sinais topônimos, da seleção das imagens dos topônimos e da apresentação dos resultados de forma sintetizada, obtivemos nossos resultados que refletem o alcance dos nossos objetivos propostos para este estudo. Os resultados conquistados aqui, enriquecem os glossários bíblicos que por sua vez colaboram com a comunicação em Libras, com o trabalho de pessoas envolvidas na tradução da Bíblia, pastores, missões, padres e outros inseridos no contexto eclesiástico, valorizando tal ambiente. Ainda enaltece a Linguística da Libras na área acadêmica no que se refere aos Estudos Linguísticos, Estudos da Tradução e da Linguística da Libras. Por fim, a pesquisa agrega valor a diversas áreas de pesquisas a saber, estudos sobre a cultura surda, contexto religioso, crenças e tradição, dialogando com os artefatos culturais religiosos do povo surdo, e com as ciências das religiões.Abstract: This research discusses the biblical toponymy found in sign languages. One of the focuses of Applied Linguistics is the study of toponymy, that is, the process of naming places. The general objective was to conduct a linguistic-documental data collection of biblical toponyms used in the sign languages of the following countries in Europe (Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, and Malta), the Middle East (Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq), Africa (Egypt and Libya), and South America (Brazil), in Libras. The specific objectives were: i) to compile the city toponyms that can be found in the New Testament of the Bible in Portuguese; ii) to collect the main toponyms for mountains, mounts and valleys, seas, rivers, islands, gardens, pools and religious places that can be found in the Bible in Portuguese; iii) to gather biblical toponym signs registered in glossaries and dictionaries in sign languages; iv) to register, organize and compile the biblical toponyms signs found in the data collection; v) to bring together and analyze the biblical toponym signs, highlighting the linguistic motivation of each collected sign. Based on a methodology of data collection and analysis, we present research with a qualitative and quantitative approach, we will demonstrate, respectively, the criteria to collect the biblical toponyms in sign languages, as well as a brief demonstration of the linguistic motivation in the conception of the biblical toponym signs that are used for a more in-depth development of the research. We have selected the manual O Clamor do Silêncio (JMN, 1991) and the Manuário de Sinais Bíblicos (MSB, 2015) for the consultations in Libras, and other manuals for sign languages. The data collection is presented in charts and graphs elaborated by the author of this study. Once we have demonstrated and put forward the results, the discussion of the 74 biblical toponyms signs that were collected is presented. To complete the research development, the remainder of the selected biblical toponym signs were collected, and the pertinent analyses regarding the concepts of those signs were conducted as follows: the presentation of an explanation of the sign; the identification of the linguistic motivation basis (conceptual, historical, and cultural); the identification of the place?s topography, and the identification of iconicity in the sign languages. From the presentation of the data, we processed the results obtained and after the analysis was completely carried out with the recording of videos of the toponym signs, the selection of the toponym images and the presentation of the results in a summarized way, we obtained our results that reflect the reach of our established objectives for this study. The obtained results from this research enrich the biblical glossaries, which contribute to communication in Libras; collaborate with the work of those that are involved in the translation of the Bible; give visibility and value to the ecclesiastical environment and to the work of pastors, missionaries, priests, and others that are involved in this context. Our research also enobles the Linguistics of Libras as an academic field, including the areas of Linguistic Studies, Translation Studies, and the Linguistics of Libras.
