A consciência humana é doadora de significado e sentido para os fenômenos do mundo. Este sentido se direciona para o que é fundamental do fenômeno, a sua essência. Portanto este caminho é sempre intencional. No caso do movimento humano, não existe forma de movimento, mas pessoas se movimentando, que lhe fornecem significado na relação com o mundo. Nosso trabalho teve como problemática principal, investigar sobre a argumentação teórica que a fenomenologia proporciona para o entendimento do movimento humano como significativo. Este trabalho teórico e qualitativo teve como base o pensamento fenomenológico de Edmund Husserl e Merleau Ponty. Para isto foi feito uma investigação sobre o projeto da racionalidade científica e suas conseqüências para o movimento humano e conseqüentemente para a educação física. No segundo momento foram identificadas as características do pensamento fenomenológico para verificar as maneiras e formas por ela proposta, para ampliar a visão fragmentada e limitada de homem desenvolvida pela ciência moderna. Por fim foi descrito as questões importantes que a fenomenologia propõe como fundamentais para melhor entender a realidade e sua relação com o movimento humano e a educação física. A visão fenomenológica do movimento humano propõe que o sujeito seja o ator de seu movimento próprio e não apenas um objeto que recebe ordens para imitar padrões de movimento preestabelecidos. O movimento deve ser entendido como um diálogo entre homem e mundo, onde o ser humano compreende o mundo pela ação. Este movimento dialógico é expressivo e comunicativo que se manifesta como gesto criativo, com possibilidade de conhecer o transformar o mundo. Este entendimento do movimento humano deve orientar o trabalho na educação física, para que esta consiga recuperar seu real sentido e significado no processo educacional. The phenomenology tries to show that the human being must be the center of the process of knowledge. The human consciousness is the giver of meaning and sense to the phenomena of the world. This sense directs itself to what is fundamental in the phenomenon, its essence. Therefore, this way is always intentional. Related to the human movement, there is no form of movement but people in movement which give them meaning in the relation with the world.Our work had as the main problematic, to investigate about the theoretical argumentation that the phenomenology proportions to the understanding of the human movement as significant. This theoretical and qualitative work had as basis Edmund Husserl#s and Merleau Ponty#s phenomenological thoughts. For that it was carried out an investigation on the project of scientific rationality and its consequences to the human movement and consequently to the Physical Education. In a second moment, the characteristics of the phenomenological thought were identified to verify the ways and forms proposed by them as well as to extend the fragmented and limited vision of the human being developed by the modern science. Finally, important questions were described which them the phenomenology proposes as fundamental to better understand the reality and its relation with the human movement and Physical Education. The phenomenological vision of the human movement proposes that the subject is his/her own movement author rather than just an object that receives orders to imitate patterns of preestablished movements. The movement must be understood as a dialogue between the human being and the world where the human being understands the world through the action. This dialogical movement is expressive and communicative which manifests itself in a creative gesture with the possibility to know and transform the world.
