Despite this, each has different energy policies governing the way it operates and investments. On this basis, this paper draws a parallel between the energy matrix and the current energy policies in Brazil and Norway within the context of sustainability through descriptive and qualitative research, using literature sources, documentary and interview. Foremost there is a presentation of Brazil, informing its territorial expansion, social characteristics of the population and local economic situation. After this, the ways that the country obtains its energy and percentage of use of each one of them is analyzed and, finally, the main energy policies that are in force in Brazil. Posteriorly, Norway is introduced, in the same way as the first, are reported its territorial expansion, social characteristics and its economic situation. Also the energy sources present in the Norwegian energy matrix and their use, as well as the main energy policies in force in the country are indicated. Then, an analogy is made between the two countries, and possibilities for changes in the Brazilian matrix are established. Finally, the final considerations deal with reflections about each country and its situation in relation to the theories dealt with throughout the work, showing that both are still unsustainable from the point of view of ecopolitics.O Brasil e a Noruega são países que possuem sua matriz energética com predominância de fontes renováveis. Apesar disso, cada um possui políticas energéticas distintas que regem sua forma de atuação e investimentos. Com base nisto, este trabalho faz um paralelo entre a matriz energética e as políticas energéticas vigentes no Brasil e na Noruega, dentro do contexto da sustentabilidade por meio de pesquisa descritiva e qualitativa, com utilização de fontes bibliográficas, documental e entrevista. Primeiramente é feita a apresentação do Brasil, informando sua expansão territorial, características sociais da população e situação econômica local. Após este, as formas que o país obtém sua energia e percentual de uso de cada uma delas é analisada e, por fim, as principais políticas energéticas que estão em vigor no Brasil. Posteriormente, apresenta-se a Noruega, da mesma forma que o primeiro, são informadas sua expansão territorial, características sociais do local e sua situação econômica. Também são indicadas as fontes energia presentes na matriz energética norueguesa e seu uso, bem como as principais políticas energéticas em vigor no país. Em seguida, é feita uma analogia entre os dois países e são estabelecidas possibilidades de mudanças na matriz brasileira.
