SC, sob a ótica da Dialetologia Pluridimensional e Relacional. Embora na Região Sul do Brasil ter havido elevado número de estudos sobre bilinguismo ao longo das últimas décadas, parece importante expandir tais estudos para regiões ainda pouco investigadas, como é o caso da Grande Florianópolis, mais especificamente no município de Águas Mornas, que é um dos berços de imigração alemã no Estado de Santa Catarina (SC). A presente pesquisa se justifica visto que a referida região, diante da realidade da colonização alemã, constituiu-se como um cenário multilinguístico e, mais do que isso, multicultural em face do cenário plurilíngue dos indivíduos dessa localidade. Mesmo sendo alvo das pretéritas campanhas de nacionalização do idioma, que propagava a ideia de ?uma língua, uma nação?, ainda se convive, contemporaneamente, com a língua alemã em contato com o Português nas comunidades de Águas Mornas. O instrumento da pesquisa quanti-qualitativa é constituído de um questionário semiestruturado, dividido entre questões de identidade ? verificando as crenças e atitudes linguísticas ? e questões referentes ao grau de bilinguismo, ao contexto de circulação e às funções internas para as quais os informantes usam o alemão dialetal. Os resultados demonstram que boa parte das hipóteses linguísticas foram confirmadas, principalmente com relação ao apagamento da cultura e da língua minoritária nos grupos mais jovens e urbanos. Entretanto, certas hipóteses não se confirmaram na totalidade, a exemplo do que ocorreu com a análise da competência de leitura, que também se estendeu a uma parcela da geração mais jovem, e a forma como os entrevistados veem a língua de imigração, em que a imensa maioria do público-alvo apresentou crenças positivas em relação à língua de imigração.Abstract: The present study seeks to describe ? considering linguistic beliefs and attitudes, as well as the degree of bilingualism and the choice of minority or majority variety in relation to internal functions ? the linguistic situation in Águas Mornas - SC, from the perspective of Multidimensional and Relational Dialectology. Although in the Southern Region of Brazil there have been a high number of studies on bilingualism over the last decades, it seems important to expand such studies to regions still little investigated, such as Grande Florianópolis, more specifically in the Águas Mornas County, which is one of the cradles of German immigration in the State of Santa Catarina (SC). The present research is justified since this region, in view of the reality of German colonization, constituted itself as a multilingual and, more than that, multicultural scenario in view of the multilingual scenario of the individuals of this locality. Even though it was the target of the previous campaigns of nationalization of the language, which propagated the idea of \"one language, a nation\", there is still contemporaneous contact with the German language in contact with Portuguese in the communities of Águas Mornas. The instrument of quantitative-qualitative research consists of a semi-structured questionnaire, divided between questions of identity ? verifying linguistic beliefs and attitudes ? and questions related to the degree of bilingualism, the context of circulation and the internal functions for which informants use the Dialectal German. The results show that most of the linguistic hypotheses were confirmed, mainly in relation to the payment of culture and minority language in the younger and urban groups.
