Resumo: | The demand for more sustainable buildings has shown growth from the technological advance of alternatives that minimize the impacts of buildings. However, the assessment of the life cycle of projects still lacks the development of technologies for surveying and analyzing primary data. Given the above, this article aims to identify the potential use of the BIM tool to support the environmental assessment of buildings. Through the methodology of systematic literature review, 30 articles published between 2017 and 2021, were analyzed, based on research questions and previously defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. As a result, it was identified that the focus of research is to facilitate environmental assessment processes by integrating databases and BIM models. It was found that the researches present difficulties in the selection of software and databases, as well as in the interoperability between systems. It was also possible to identify that the quality of the data obtained for the life cycle assessment is linked to the sources of environmental data. However, it was possible to conclude that the evolution of the process must take into account the results of the analysis to be considered in the management of assets, demolition, reconstruction and recycling, topics little explored. |

Porém, a avaliação do ciclo de vida dos empreendimentos ainda carece de desenvolvimento de tecnologias de levantamento e análise de dados primários. Diante do exposto, o presente artigo tem como objetivo, identificar o potencial uso da ferramenta BIM para apoiar na avaliação ambiental de edificações. Por meio da metodologia de revisão sistemática de literatura, foram analisados 30 artigos, publicados entre 2017 e 2021, baseados em questões de pesquisa e critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Como resultados, se identificou que o foco das pesquisas é facilitar os processos de avaliação ambiental integrando bancos de dados e modelos BIM. Verificou-se, que as pesquisas apresentam dificuldades na seleção de softwares e bancos de dados. Foi possível identificar também que, a qualidade dos dados obtidos para a avaliação do ciclo de vida está ligada às fontes de dados ambientais, sendo sugerido o maior envolvimento de fornecedores no processo.
