Resumo: This cross-sectional study aims to compare the level of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and the body composition of 393 school children, with and without physical structure in the school environment for physical and sports activities in Santa Cruz do Sul - RS. Regarding CRF levels, it is observed that schoolchildren, both male and female, who study in study in schools with presence of sports structures in their environment have better values. There was no relation between infrastructure and body composition in school children. It’s concluded that schoolchildren of both sexes who study in schools with sports structures in their surroundings present higher levels of CRF compared to schoolchildren belonging to schools with a low presence of sports structures.

Universidade Federal de Santa Maria2017-08-27info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/2630010.5902/2236583426300Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.43, n.2, maio-ago. 2017; 101-108Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.43, n.2, maio-ago. 2017; 101-1082236-58340103-4499reponame:Saúde (Santa Maria)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMporhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/26300/pdfCopyright (c) 2017 Saúde (Santa Maria)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAraújo, Willian Giovani deSoares, Silvana SilveiraSehn, Ana PaulaKern, Deise GrazielaWelser, LeticiaSilva, Cristiane Fernanda daBurgos, Miria SuzanaReuter, Cézane Priscila2020-05-14T20:44:11Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/26300Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaudePUBhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/oairevistasaude.ufsm@gmail.com || amanda.revsaude@gmail.com || beatriz.revsaude@gmail.com2236-58342236-5834opendoar:2020-05-14T20:44:11Saúde (Santa Maria) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)false
