Resumo: Objective: to analyze the environmental and sociodemographic factors associated with fatigue and Burnout Syndrome in high school teachers of public schools in the city of Goiânia / GO. Method: This is an analytical cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. A questionnaire and two psychometric scales were used to investigate the environmental and sociodemographic data and the scores of Burnout Syndrome and fatigue. Results: 127 teachers participated in the research, predominant age group up to 35 years (49.6%), female (61.4%), married (56.71%), with children (53.5%) and reported that the work brought health risk (81.9%). Higher levels of fatigue were identified at age above 35 years (p = 0.0349), female gender (p = 0.0119) and in those who slept less than seven hours (p = 0.0428). Positive correlation was identified between fatigue and emotional exhaustion (r = 0.6838; p <0.0001), between fatigue and depersonalization (r = 0.4030; p <0.0001) and inversely proportional between fatigue and professional achievement ( r = - 0.3186; p = 0.0003). Conclusion: several factors were identified, both environmental and sociodemographic, which have a significant association with higher scores in the dimensions that make up the Burnout Syndrome, as well as higher levels of fatigue. Furthermore, it became evident that there is a positive correlation between these two diseases that affect teachers.

Universidade Federal de Santa Maria2020-09-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/4804810.5902/2236583448048Saúde (Santa Maria); 2020: Revista Saúde (Santa Maria). 2020, v. 46, n. 2Saúde (Santa Maria); 2020: Revista Saúde (Santa Maria). 2020, v. 46, n. 22236-58340103-4499reponame:Saúde (Santa Maria)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMporhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/48048/pdfCopyright (c) 2020 Saúde (Santa Maria)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAbadia, Lígia Emília deBorges, Leonardo LuizCordeiro, Jacqueline Andreia Bernardes LeãoSilva, Antonio Márcio Teodoro CordeiroAlmeida, Rogério José de2020-09-01T17:11:43Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/48048Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaudePUBhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/oairevistasaude.ufsm@gmail.com || amanda.revsaude@gmail.com || beatriz.revsaude@gmail.com2236-58342236-5834opendoar:2020-09-01T17:11:43Saúde (Santa Maria) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)false
