This articla aims to review the literature on quality standards (ISO 9000),environment (ISO 14001). Health and safety (OHSAS 18000) and social accountability (AS 8000). Theintegration of this standard is a competitive diferentiatior for companioes. In this contexto,companies now have only focused practice for each standards and not a complete integration oftheis processes. Failure to incorporate the reles leads to failures in the management of thesestandards, leaving gaps in the systems view of the company. Na integrated system of standards canlead the company competitiva avantajes to ensure their survival in the future.

Ao proverem sua existência, os seres humanos produzem não só sua história, conhecimento, estrutura social e política, mas também o espaço em que habitam. Ao produzirem seus espaços, os indivíduos têm provocado sérias alterações no meio ambiente. Neste meio, pode-se enfatizar a relação do ser humano com a água. Deste modo, o objetivo deste artigo é abordar as consequências que o desenvolvimento dos municípios ocasiona sobre o meio ambiente, principalmente sobre os recursos hídricos. Para isso, foi realizada uma abordagem bibliográfica de materiais impressos e digitais, onde será exposta a importância das Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APP) para os municípios e também, como estas unidades políticoadministrativas estabelecem uma relação com as Políticas Públicas, neste caso, com a política de Recursos Hídricos e a Ambiental.
