Marketing in Brazilian Fitness Centers: the lack of academic approach

Resumo: | Fitness Centers are responsible for the growth of the Sports Industry in Brazil. There is no systematized knowledge about the academic production in terms of Marketing and Academies in the country. Thus, the objective this study was to perform a systematic review of national literature in search of electronic databases. For this, five studies were identified in different areas of knowledge, with a predominance of the Product / Consumer themes. The methodological techniques are differentiated and recognized as research methods in Sport Management. Considering the research carried out, possibilities of applications are evidenced and there are no recommendations for future research in these studies. Further surveys are suggested from other sources and as it is suggested replication of this study in the future. |

No existe un conocimiento sistematizado sobre la producción académica en materia de Marketing y Academias en el país. El objetivo de este texto fue realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura nacional en bases de datos electrónicas de búsqueda. Han sido identificados cinco estudios en diferentes áreas del conocimiento, sobre todo de temas Producto / Consumidor. Las técnicas metodológicas se diferencian y se reconocen como métodos de investigación en Gestión del Deporte. Considerando las investigaciones realizadas, se evidencian posibilidades de aplicación y no existen recomendaciones para futuras investigaciones en estos estudios. Se sugieren más estudios de otras fuentes y la reproducción de este estudio en el futuro.As academias de ginástica são responsáveis pelo crescimento da Indústria do Esporte no Brasil. Não há conhecimento sistematizado sobre a produção acadêmica no que tange ao Marketing e às Academias no país. Dessa maneira, o objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar uma revisão sistemática de literatura nacional em bases eletrônicas de busca. Para isso, foram identificados cinco estudos, em diferentes áreas do conhecimento, com predominância dos temas Produto/Consumidor. As técnicas metodológicas são diferenciadas e reconhecidas como métodos de pesquisa em Gestão do Esporte. Considerando-se a pesquisa realizada, possibilidades de aplicação são evidenciadas e não há recomendações para pesquisas futuras nesses estudos.
