Giving wings to the imagination: crossings between Dance, childhood and education

Resumo: This text proposes to think critically about characteristics of child alterity, such as transmutation and imagination, and their relation with the dance formation processes for Early Childhood Education. For this objective, a conversation between the fields of Dance and the social studies of childhood, such as Sociology, Philosophy and Pedagogy is proposed, at the interface with the Arts in dialogue with various experiences with children throughout investigative paradigms linked to research and extension projects developed since 2016. This thinking exercise points out that, in order to strengthen the relationship between Dance and Basic Education, it is necessary to strengthen the relationship between Dance and Childhood Education. In this sense, it is urgent to invest in teacher training that recaptures and maintains the freshness of metaphors, dreamlike quality and playfulness so that the professionals can understand themselves more and more as teachers of children.

Para tal, relaciona-se o campo da Dança e os estudos sociais da infância, como a Sociologia, a Filosofia e a Pedagogia na interface com as Artes, em interlocução com diversas experiências com crianças ao longo de andanças investigativas vinculadas a projetos de pesquisa e de extensão desenvolvidos a partir de 2016. Esse exercício de pensamento aponta que, para fortalecer as relações entre Dança e Educação Básica, é necessário fortificar as relações entre Dança e Educação Infantil.
