The Preservation of Artistic Heritage: a journey through the listed movable assets of Brazilian Modernism

Resumo: For many years the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN) has left to register recognized works of art of the artistic production pertaining to the brazilian Modernism, althought representative modernist architects is consistuited of that institution. This paper is focused on the relationships between the IPHAN and the brazilian modernist plastic arts and attempts to locate the hegemonic artistic production registered, through mapping of the phisycal works and analysis of documentation.
