Making the narrative of the self into structuring matter for reflection and analysis of my own self and its crossing as artist-teacher-researcher. “Why do birds sing?” presents the action of investigating my own history and extracting, from it, a meaningful experience, crucial for my life path and own professional choice. The act of looking over my own experience and unravel it, seeking to analyze it and understand it as an existential moment lived in full, transforms the present moment and opens new possibilities for constructing meanings. At a second time in the study, I observed how my narrative provoked children’s aesthetic bodies and also became a narrative of other childhoods.
