Resumo: | The present article aims at understanding, based on bibliographic research, the challenges and possibilities of the art studio in Early Childhood Education and its contribution to development, inspired on the pedagogic approach of Reggio Emilia (IT). Of exploratory objective, basic nature and qualitative approach, this research had as technique the documentation. It can be highlighted that the approach of Reggio Emilia, in concerns art, approximates what the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (2010), the Common National Curriculum Base (2018) and the Curriculum Base of the municipality of Palhoça (2019) present and orient regarding art in childhood education institutions. Furthermore, it can be concluded that the studio contributes to a great extent to pedagogic practices with art, and its possibilities are not constricted to this space, what makes it possible to take as reference and inspiration the approach of Reggio Emilia to the reality of Brazilian early childhood education institutions. |

De objetivo exploratório, natureza básica e abordagem qualitativa, esta pesquisa teve como técnica a documentação. Destaca-se que a abordagem de Reggio Emilia, no que se refere à arte, aproxima-se do que as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Infantil (2010), a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (2018) e a Base Curricular do município de Palhoça (2019) apresentam e orientam a respeito da arte nas instituições de Educação Infantil.
