Resumo: This article examined the artistic programming of the 1st International Congress of the Benjamin Constant Institute (I CONIN-IBC), held in November 2022, with a thematic focus on visual impairment. The aim was to characterize the artistic and cultural programming of the event through a qualitative approach, considering its aesthetic and inclusive specificities, while engaging in a dialogue between Cultural Studies and philosophies of difference. The divergences and convergences between these two perspectives facilitated a broader understanding of the complex and emergent phenomenon of practices involving art and inclusion. Theoretical and methodological considerations also considered the symbolic significance of the activities conducted in a space recognized as a locus of scientific production on the subject. The findings revealed that the artistic and cultural programming of the event was inclusive and multisensory, embodying a Deleuzian experimentation of minor art and minor inclusion, thus stimulating the generation of new meanings. The proposed activities also challenged visual supremacy, inviting congress participants to destabilize the sensory hegemony of vision. It was concluded that the inclusion of blind and visually impaired individuals in the processes of artistic and cultural creation and appreciation, although challenging, triggers the emergence of alternative possibilities for art and sociability.

Universidade Federal de Santa Maria2023-12-29info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmlhttp://periodicos.ufsm.br/revislav/article/view/8377310.5902/1983734883773Revista Digital do LAV; Vol. 16 No. 1 (2023): Revista Digital do LAV, Jan./Dez. – Publicação contínua; e31/1-22Revista Digital do LAV; v. 16 n. 1 (2023): Revista Digital do LAV, Jan./Dez. – Publicação contínua; e31/1-221983-73481983-7348reponame:Revista Digital do LAV ( Laboratório de Artes Visuais)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMporhttp://periodicos.ufsm.br/revislav/article/view/83773/62944http://periodicos.ufsm.br/revislav/article/view/83773/62945Copyright (c) 2023 Revista Digital do LAVinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Caue de Camargo dosBraga, Luiz Paulo da Silva2024-03-26T20:16:44Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/83773Revistahttp://cascavel.ufsm.br/revistas/ojs-2.2.2/index.php/revislav/PUBhttp://cascavel.ufsm.br/revistas/ojs-2.2.2/index.php/revislav/oairevistadigitaldolav@gmail.com||daniel@rswa.com.br1983-73481983-7348opendoar:2024-03-26T20:16:44Revista Digital do LAV ( Laboratório de Artes Visuais) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)false
