Resumo: This study emerges with an artistic and pedagogical experience and reflects on the possibility to articulate processes of teaching and creating dance with pop culture images. Pop culture can be understood as a niche of the so-called cultural pedagogies, accustomed to captivate the affections of bodies, enabling them to pleasure experiences and stimulate, in different ways, their perception and action in the world. Working with such elements coming from the living experience of the students is a critical and provocative challenge for arts teaching in general and particularly for dance teaching in contemporaneity
