Resumo: This article aims to show the actions taken in the exhibition “Communication History”, characterized by developing concepts related to evolution of media forms and editing. Conducted by the Department of Communication Sciences of UFSM, was coordinated by the Social Communication course − Editorial Production and located in the city House of Culture during the Book Fair in Santa Maria, 04/28 to 05/13/2012. The proposal came within the discipline of History of Communication due to historical research, collections and query the partnerships. It was developed as an extension project, accounting, production process, sixty-seven students who worked in the three environments of exposure. The theoretical framework for reflection featured interdisciplinary approach from the letters, history and communication.

Realizada pelo Departamento de Ciências daComunicação da UFSM, foi coordenada pelo curso de Comunicação Social – ProduçãoEditorial e situada na Casa da Cultura do Município de Santa Maria durante a Feira doLivro, de 28/04 a 13/05/2012. A proposta surgiu no âmbito da disciplina de História daComunicação, em decorrência de pesquisa histórica, de consulta a acervos e de parcerias.Desenvolveu-se como projeto de extensão, contabilizando, no processo de produção, 67alunos, que atuaram nos três ambientes de exposição.
