Designative nominal structures in the language in Brazil: an enunciative approach

Resumo: In this study, we analyze the nominal structures “língua nacional”, “língua pátria”, “língua do Brasil” and “língua brasileira”. Specifically, we approach these constructions as nominal structures within which we observe the role of adjective determinants in the constitution of a reference domain, responsible for the distinction of meaning. The approach presents enunciative semantics as grounding, developed by Guimarães (1995, 2002), based on the theses on meaning by Benveniste and Ducrot.
