Resumo: This research has the objective of analyzing the behavior characteristics related to the entrepreneurial potential in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), considering the influence of family members and their preparation for professional practice. ASD is a syndrome manifested by alterations in language development and social interaction. Individuals with ASD present stereotyped, repetitive and ritualized behaviors, as well as restricted interests and sensory alterations, with varying levels of severity, which justifies the use of the term autism spectrum. Although autism is characterized as a complex developmental disorder, defined from a behavioral point of view and characterized by difficulties in social interaction that may be manifested as isolation, inappropriate social behavior, among other symptoms (GADIA et al., 2004, p. 584), reports of autistic people who managed to overcome the disorder and, as far as possible, developed skills that allow them to live a productive life are not uncommon. Some of them, such as Temple Grandin, for example, use their differentiated manner of looking at reality as an instrument for transformation, which is in line with the definitions of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship, in the view of Santos et al. (2014), is intrinsically dependent on individual decisions and actions (even if external factors are decisive for the entrepreneurial action), thus justifying the choice for entrepreneurial potential as an element of the construct that is being adopted in this research. The entrepreneurial potential, which is related to individual characteristics, may never become an entrepreneurial intention, but it brings with it a set of behavioral attributes that can be developed, allowing the establishment of skills and capacities that are of interest to the job market. To answer the problem of this research, four studies was carried out involving the conceptualization of entrepreneurial potential related to individual development, the identification of entrepreneurial potential in individuals with ASD and in their family members – and how these potential influences the autistic person’s development – and the verification of the skills that the job market has observed in professionals with ASD who have been working. This study is based on the relationship family – autistic person – company, from the construct that involves entrepreneurial potential, cognition and autism spectrum disorder. With the first study, it was possible to identify a theoretical gap – Entrepreneurial Potential and entrepreneurial characteristics in neuroatypicals, being the construct an emerging topic if associated with education, education for work, development and knowledge. The second study showed that behavioral characteristics of autistic people find similarities in the behavioral characteristics related to Entrepreneurial Potential and that this can be used to promote professional inclusion. The third study showed that there are influences of characteristics of the Entrepreneurial Potential of parents in the development of their children, considering the overcoming of the diagnosis and resilience. And the fourth study pointed out that hiring autistic people can be geared to results and not just functionality. Thus, this thesis shows that the Entrepreneurial Potential can be a perspective for the development of the autistic person, aiming at insertion in the job market.

O TEA é uma síndrome que se manifesta por alterações no desenvolvimento da linguagem e da interação social. Os indivíduos com TEA apresentam comportamentos estereotipados, repetitivos e ritualizados, bem como restrição de interesses e alterações sensoriais, com nível de severidade variado, o que justifica o uso da expressão espectro autista. Embora o autismo se caracterize como um distúrbio de desenvolvimento complexo, definido sob o ponto de vista comportamental e caracterizado por dificuldades de interação social que podem manifestar-se como isolamento, comportamento social impróprio, entre outros sintomas (GADIA et al., 2004, p. 584), não são raros os relatos de autistas que conseguiram superar o transtorno e, dentro do possível, desenvolveram habilidades que lhes permitem uma vida produtiva. Alguns, como Temple Grandin, por exemplo, utilizam sua forma diferenciada de olhar para a realidade como instrumento de transformação, o que vai ao encontro das definições de empreendedorismo. Sendo o empreendedorismo, na visão de Santos et al. (2014) intrinsecamente dependente de decisões e ações individuais (ainda que os fatores externos sejam determinantes para o empreender), justifica-se a escolha do Potencial Empreendedor como elemento do construto que está sendo adotado para esta pesquisa. O Potencial Empreendedor, que está relacionado às características individuais, pode nunca se converter em intenção empreendedora, mas traz em si um conjunto de atributos comportamentais que podem ser desenvolvidos, permitindo o estabelecimento de competências e capacidades que interessam ao mercado de trabalho. Para responder ao problema desta pesquisa, foram realizados quatro estudos envolvendo conceituação de Potencial Empreendedor relacionado ao desenvolvimento individual, a identificação de Potencial Empreendedor em indivíduos com TEA e em seus familiares – e como esse potencial influencia o desenvolvimento do autista - e a verificação das competências que o mercado de trabalho tem observado em profissionais com TEA que estão em atuação. Este estudo é baseado na relação família – autista – empresa, a partir do constructo que envolve Potencial Empreendedor, Cognição e Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Com o primeiro estudo, foi possível identificar uma lacuna teórica – Potencial Empreendedor e características empreendedoras em neuroatípicos, sendo o construto um tópico emergente se associado à educação, educação para o trabalho, desenvolvimento e conhecimento. O segundo estudo evidenciou que características comportamentais de pessoas autistas encontram similitudes nas características comportamentais relacionadas a Potencial Empreendedor e que isso pode ser utilizado para fomentar a inclusão profissional. O terceiro estudo mostrou que há influências de características do Potencial Empreendedor dos pais no desenvolvimento dos filhos, considerando a superação do diagnóstico e resiliência. E o quarto estudo apontou que a contratação de pessoas autistas pode ser voltada ao resultado e não apenas à funcionalidade. Com isso, esta tese evidencia que o Potencial Empreendedor pode ser uma perspectiva para o desenvolvimento da pessoa autista, visando a inserção no mercado de trabalho.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AdministraçãoUFSMBrasilAdministraçãoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPotencial empreendedorCogniçãoTranstorno do espectro autistaInclusão profissional de PcDDesenvolvimentoEntrepreneurial potentialCognitionAutism spectrum disorderProfessional inclusionDevelopmentCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAOPotencial empreendedor em indivíduos com transtorno do espectro autista: uma perspectiva para o desenvolvimentoEntrepreneurial potential in individuals with autism spectrum disorder: a perspective for developmentinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisLopes, Luis Felipe Diashttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1074372911061770Minello, Italo FernandoSimões, Maria de Fátima de JesusSantos, Paulo Emilio Alves dosCosta, Vânia Medianeira FloresTrevisan, Marcelohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5142964898318831Pozzer, Ranice Höehr Pedrazzi6002000000066006006006006006006006001dc759c3-23ad-4b07-ab5e-be9634c1de062918340b-56bf-43e2-b388-4902dd815254e2aa53f6-4078-4650-977d-924a2343ff24f778a563-0dc5-4e28-912d-8b5ddbda030b8e831713-3a6e-455c-b50d-117259a92819a5a06c33-1616-443b-bcab-f62fa3dd3166088baf61-9321-4f42-a1b6-f704ee3e5510reponame:Repositório Institucional Manancial UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGADMINISTRAÇÃO_2021_POZZER_RANICE.pdfTES_PPGADMINISTRAÇÃO_2021_POZZER_RANICE.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf9056064http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/24496/1/TES_PPGADMINISTRA%c3%87%c3%83O_2021_POZZER_RANICE.pdf653e0ca32bd06e6155bc82fe2beba40dMD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
