Análise do engajamento regional da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria na percepção dos stakeholders

This paper aims to analyze the regional engagement of the Federal University of Santa Maria, in the thematic local and regional development, in the perception of its stakeholders. The research is classified as quantitative, with its design being field survey (Survey). For the achievement of the proposed objective, were defined, based on authors, dimensions of analysis of the regional engagement of universities, such as: participation, communication, collaboration, knowledge transfer, institutional support, reputation of the institution, responsiveness and value-added results. From these dimensions, a research instrument was created, which was sent for expert evaluation and after the suggested corrections, underwent pre-test. After, the instrument was applied to stakeholders of the campuses of the Federal University of Santa Maria: Campus Santa Maria, Campus Frederico Westphalen, Campus Palmeira das Missões and Campus Cachoeira do Sul, being students, companies and members of the population, in order to verify the perception of these stakeholders in relation to the regional engagement of UFSM. As a result, it can be seen that in general, there is a good perception of respondents in relation to regional engagement of UFSM. The best averages were in relation to the factors Earned Value and Reputation of the Institution, while the worst averages were in relation to the factors Participation and Institutional Support. Finally, based on the analysis of the results, actions were proposed to seek improvements for the regional engagement of the UFSM campuses.
