Resumo: This study aimed to analyze the effects of physical training session with virtual reality (TFRV) and a conventional physical training session (TFC) on the physiological and psychological aspects of young adults of both sexes. This study characterized as experimental investigated 30 subjects aged between 18 and 40 years, of both sexes. The subjects were randomly selected by the registration number for the first session (odd numbers: TFRV session; even numbers: TFC session), and after an interval of 72 hours held the second session with the other type of training. Eight exercises were run (games), two of six aerobic and strength. At the end of each year, as well as during periods of rest and recovery collections of variables were performed: blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), subjective sensation of effort (SSE), affection and was calculated the double value -product (DP). Upon completion of the training sessions, the fun scale was used to assess this variable. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to verify the normality of the data; Descriptive statistics to characterize the group investigated and analysis of the variables and were tested by analysis of variance for repeated measures ANOVA with Bonferroni post hoc comparison of times for the training sessions. The significance level was 5% and the data analysis was performed using SPSS, version 14.0. Regarding the physiological variables found in this study statistically significant difference only in the FC variable compared the effect of exercise training sessions as a whole. Regarding the psychological variables was possible to see positive affective responses to the sessions TFRV and TFC, with high values for fun. According to the results it is concluded that the TFRV session, in general, does not produce physiological and psychological responses significantly different from those observed in TFC session, noting that the affective responses were positive for both sessions.
