Resumo: | Acacia mearnsii is a tree species belonging to the Fabaceae family, originally in Australia. The species has great industrial potential for products, such as charcoal and cellulose. It is cultivated in Brazil, mainly in Rio Grande do Sul, for the production of wood and extraction of tannin from its bark. Although it is relevant to the industrial sector, few studies have been carried out with vegetative propagation techniques, with no defined protocol for the utilization of mini-cuttings. Proper management of mini-cuttings can maximize the gains from the genetic improvement of A. mearnsii. Thus, the aim of this study was to study the rooting of A. mearnsii mini-cuttings for vegetative propagation. Rooting was evaluated after 30 days in a humidity chamber through the percentage of survival and rooting, and number and length of the three largest roots. Four experiments were conducted with three clones of A. mearnsii, to evaluate the effect of nutrient solution concentrations (25, 50 and 75% of the standard solution), the type of propagule (apical, one bud and two-bud mini-cuttings), and concentration of indolbutyric acid (IBA) (0; 1,000; 2,000; 3,000 and 4,000 mg L-1) and the time of the year on the productivity and rooting of mini-cuttings. Type of propagule and IBA concentrations in the rooting competence of mini-cuttings were also evaluated in 650 genotypes of 13 progenies. The 75% concentration of the nutrient solution maximized mini-cuttings production. Apical and two-bud mini-cuttings collected during the winter and treated with 2000 mg L-1 of IBA maximize rooting potential of mini-cuttings of A. mearnsii clones. A. mearnsii can be propagated by mini-cuttings from apical and one-bud mini-cuttings treated with 2,000 mg L-1 of IBA. |

A espécie possui grande potencial industrial para produtos como carvão vegetal, celulose, porém, é plantada no Brasil, principalmente, no Rio Grande do Sul, para produção de madeira e extração de tanino de sua casca. Embora tenha relevância ao setor industrial, poucos estudos têm sido realizados utilizando as técnicas de propagação vegetativa, não havendo protocolo definido à prática de miniestaquia. O manejo apropriado da miniestaquia pode maximizar os ganhos do melhoramento genético da A. mearnsii. Desta forma, objetivou-se estudar o enraizamento de miniestacas de A. mearnsii para a propagação vegetativa por miniestaquia. O enraizamento foi avaliado após 30 dias em câmara úmida para as porcentagens de sobrevivência e enraizamento, o número e comprimento das três maiores raízes. Foram conduzidos quatro experimentos com três clones de acácia-negra para avaliar o efeito de concentrações de solução nutritiva (25%, 50% e 75% da solução padrão), o tipo de propágulo (miniestacas apicais, uma gema e de duas gemas), a concentração de ácido indolbutírico (AIB) (0; 1.000; 2.000; 3.000 e 4.000 mg L-1) e a época do ano na produtividade e taxa de enraizamento de miniestacas. O tipo de propágulo e a concentração de AIB também foram avaliados para o enraizamento de miniestacas oriundas de 650 genotipos de 13 progênies. A concentração de 75% da solução nutritiva maximizou a produtividade de miniestacas. Miniestacas apical e de duas gemas, tratadas com 2000 mg L-1 de AIB e coletadas durante o inverno maximizaram o enraizamento de miniestacas dos clones de acácia-negra. A acácia-negra pode ser propagada por miniestaquia a partir de miniestacas apicais e de gema única com a aplicação de 2.000 mg L-1 de AIB.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia FlorestalUFSMBrasilRecursos Florestais e Engenharia FlorestalAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessÁcido indolbutíricoÉpoca de coletaSolução nutritivaTipo de propáguloIndolebutyric acidCollection timeNutritional solutionPropagule typeCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::RECURSOS FLORESTAIS E ENGENHARIA FLORESTALCompetência ao enraizamento adventício de miniestacas de Acacia mearnsii De Wild.Adventitious rooting competence of Acacia mearnsii De Wild mini-cuttingsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisBisognin, Dilson Antôniohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7298261913496737Navroski, Marcio CarlosTonetto, Thaíse da Silvahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0216989152895940Avinio, Renata Smith500200000003600600600e6bf95b7-0734-4760-a7af-f141d82b8525ca7e9265-3ca0-4009-8464-67d4a58b881c6307a807-4333-4a7e-931f-48f3776e18d83a5fd229-e9e2-40e7-ba7a-de0fa19f8650reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEF_2021_AVINIO_RENATA.pdfDIS_PPGEF_2021_AVINIO_RENATA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1536097http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22735/1/DIS_PPGEF_2021_AVINIO_RENATA.pdf9381bd966fe5e86ed9029aca2edf5788MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
