Resumo: | Brazilian legislation has been improving consistently and the integration of handicap students is gradually occurring. Nevertheless, there is still an enormous difficult to the society to put in practice the proposals of inclusion, which generates the need of constant revision of their inclusive practices. Until recently, just a few amount of people with special necessities (PSN) had access to high school in Brazil, and this is a direct consequence of the lack of access to basic education and rehabilitation services for this population. There are two institutional experiences in the literature reporting inclusive high schooling: the University Brasília (UnB) and the State University of Ceará. In this article we will focus on the experience of the UnB which works by a mutual action of nine Work Groups with specific functions: assistance to PAS candidates, selectivity and contexts, socialization and integration policies; organization of a data bank about the PSN of the university community; identification and conduction of adaptation curriculum necessities; academic and technological support for the PSN; cooperation in managing projects of the program; planning and executing urban projects; internal and external mass media diffusion; accessibility in the campus and providing adapted transport to PSN; and training employees in social integration of the PSN. |
