Resumo: Objective: to analyze the accessibility to education of children and adolescents with disabilities who live in a rural context. Method: This is a quantitative, sectional study that analyzed, using a matrix project database, 33 school-age children and adolescents with disabilities who live in the rural context of municipalities in the north of Rio Grande do South. A specific instrument was used for data collection, through home visits to study participants. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency comparison. Results: Of the 33 children and adolescents with disabilities who live in the rural context, 90.9% are studying and 80% of them are in a regular school. About 80% of children and adolescents also attend specialized education services. Still, the monitor is not very present in schools, especially in those children and adolescents with physical, visual and hearing impairments. School transport is present (89.7%), but without accessibility (86.2%). Conclusion: The legal guarantees of access and accessibility to the education of children and adolescents are still fragile within the rural context. Political and social discussions and mobilization are necessary to guarantee the rights of these children, adolescents and their families.
