The effect of peer tutoring about performance of students with disabilities in inclusive classroom

Resumo: This study aimed at to investigate of the procedure of peer tutoring on the academic performance of pupils with intellectual disability in common classrooms of Early Education schools. Participate on the study two children with intellectual disability and twelve typical developmental as tutorial. The taught task was the recognition and the nomination of vowels of the alphabet, through playful activities, being that in the condition without peer tutoring the task was individualized and in the tutoring condition, the task was made in pairs. The results even so point that the peer tutoring can be effective in the improvement of the academic performance, although that is not applied for all of the children and the subject deserve more inquiry.

Participaram do estudo duas crianças com deficiência mental e doze com desenvolvimento típico como tutores. A tarefa ensinada foi o reconhecimento e a nomeação de vogais do alfabeto, através de atividades lúdicas (Bingo de Letras e o Dominó de Letras e Figuras), sendo que na condição sem tutoria a tarefa era individualizada e na tutoria, as crianças faziam duplas. Os resultados apontam que a tutoria pode ser efetiva na melhora do desempenho acadêmico, embora isso não se aplique a todas as crianças, pois outras variáveis parecem influenciar na aprendizagem, e o tema merece mais investigação.Palavras-chave: Inclusão escolar.
