Resumo: The study SEX EDUCATION AND INSTAGRAM: RELATIONSHIP AND PROFILE OF FOLLOWERS OF @MENSTRUEI_ has as its theme media and sex education and is delimited from a perspective of analyzing the profile and relationship of the followers of @menstruei_ on Instagram. Sex education is still a taboo subject for a large part of society today, despite its proven importance. Access to information on the subject is even more limited for women. With this in mind, the author of this research developed, in 2021, an Instagram profile called @menstruei_, where she addresses issues of menstruation and female sexuality. In this way, this research aims to understand what leads a woman to follow a profile about sex education, what encourages her to remain a consumer, how the relationship between content producer and followers works and what the relevance of digital communication is in this relationship. This research is justified by some key points that converge with the research topic, such as the researcher's experience as a producer of content focused on sex education and her curiosity and interest in the subject. As such, the profile of @menstruei_ followers will be the object of study in this research, using a semi-structured questionnaire with a random sample of ten questions. The concepts of representation on which the research is based come from MORIGI (2004), the studies on digital communication and media come from TERRA (2021), the theoretical basis on sexuality comes from CAMPOS; MIRANDA (2022), LOURO (1997) and MCGOWAN (2021) and the research is based on DREYER (2021). Finally, it is expected to make a reflection about the profile of followers and the level of relationship between the parties involved.

A educação sexual é, ainda nos dias de hoje, um tabu para grande parte da sociedade, apesar da comprovação de sua importância. O acesso à informação da temática é ainda mais limitado para as mulheres. Pensando nisso, a autora desta pesquisa desenvolveu, em 2021, um perfil no Instagram denominado @menstruei_, onde aborda temáticas de menstruação e sexualidade feminina. Desta forma, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo entender o que leva uma mulher a seguir um perfil sobre educação sexual, o que fomenta sua permanência como consumidora, como funciona a relação entre produtora de conteúdo e seguidoras e qual é a relevância da comunicação digital nessa tratativa. A realização da presente pesquisa justifica-se por alguns pontos-chave que convergem com o tema da pesquisa, como a experiência da pesquisadora como produtora de conteúdo voltado à educação sexual e a curiosidade e interesse pela temática destacada. Sendo assim, o perfil das seguidoras do @menstruei_ serão objetos de estudo da presente pesquisa, a partir de um questionário semi estruturado com amostra aleatória de dez questões. Os conceitos de representação em que a pesquisa foi baseada são de MORIGI (2004), os estudos sobre comunicação digital e mídias são de TERRA (2021), a base teórica sobre sexualidade é de CAMPOS; MIRANDA (2022), LOURO (1997) e MCGOWAN (2021) e a pesquisa baseada em DREYER (2021).
