Abordagem teórica e prática no desenvolvimento de uma bicicleta do tipo mountain bike full suspension

Resumo: This paper presents the development and manufacture of a mountain bike full suspension, of all-mountain modality, with a focus on the configuration of the suspension system and the frame. For its realization, a bibliographic review of the dynamics and kinematics of a two-wheeled vehicle was carried out, allowing later to make a kinematic study enabling a system that met the defined requirements, which were specified by the applied methodology. The kinematics were developed taking into account the cyclist's dimensions and limitations of the frame's geometric parameters. After the defined kinematics and geometry, a structural analysis was applied to identify places of high stresses and possible failures, so that, if necessary, geometric changes occur and avoid structural problems. After this, a frame's template and a plan for the manufacture were elaborated, making possible the process of construction of the one. According to the date established by the schedule, all materials were purchased, checked, and manufactured, making it possible to get the structure ready within the deadline. Once the bicycle was assembled, the application of tests was essential to prove the reliability of the manufacture and ensure that the parameters designed for the kinematics are faithful and the desired behavior for the bicycle will be obtained. Performing all stages of development by doing questions and inquiries, some problems were found and corrected, solutions proposed and changes, improvements, and new ideas for future work. Finally, based on the data from the kinematics project, we were able to identify the achievement of a balanced behavior for the bicycle, together with the fulfillment of all defined project requirements, solving the proposed problem.

Para sua realização foi efetuada uma revisão bibliográfica da dinâmica e cinemática de um veículo de duas rodas, permitindo posteriormente fazer um estudo cinemático viabilizando um sistema que atendesse os requisitos definidos, os quais foram especificados pela metodologia aplicada. A cinemática foi desenvolvida levando em consideração as dimensões do ciclista e limitações dos parâmetros geométricos do quadro. Posteriormente a cinemática e a geometria definidas, uma análise estrutural foi aplicada com o intuito de identificar locais de elevado campo de tensão e de possíveis falhas, para que se necessário, ocorressem alterações geométricas e evitassem problemas estruturais. Juntamente foi elaborado um gabarito e um plano para fabricação do quadro, possibilitando o processo de construção do mesmo. Conforme datas estabelecidas pelo cronograma todos materiais foram comprados, conferidos e fabricados, possibilitando obter a estrutura pronta dentro do prazo estipulado. Realizada a montagem da bicicleta, a aplicação de testes foi fundamental para comprovar a confiabilidade da fabricação e garantir que os parâmetros projetados para a cinemática estão fiéis e se obterá o comportamento desejado para a condução da bicicleta. Realizando todas as etapas de desenvolvimento fazendo questionamentos e averiguações, alguns problemas foram constatados e corrigidos, outros propôs-se soluções para alterações, melhorias e novas ideias para trabalhos futuros.
