Resumo: | This thesis aimed to adapt, implement, and evaluate the feasibility and effects of the remote version of the ACT Raising Safe Kids Program nationwide. To answer this objective, four studies have been conducted by using different methodological outlines. In the first study, the process of adapting the ACT Program to a remote model was carried out. There were four stages: (1) elaboration of the script with the adjustments; (2) evaluation of the proposal by six expert judges; (3) modifications; and (4) integration of the results. The adaptations were considered adequate, with adaptations of activities being carried out through digital platforms. In the remote version of the ACT Program, it is possible to include parents/caregivers from different places in Brazil, expanding the prevention of violence against children. The second study, with a qualitative approach, aimed to understand the expectations of mothers/caregivers about participation in the ACT Program in its remote model. It also aimed to identify the participants’ perception of raising a child in a safe environment. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 12 mothers/caregivers. The results indicated different expectations regarding the participation in the ACT Program: acquiring new knowledge, improving parenting skills, exchanging experiences, receiving support during the COVID-19 pandemic, and enabling the child a healthy development. For the mothers/caregivers, educating the child in a safe environment was related to promoting education, health, leisure, care, affection, and violence protection. It is important to offer parenting programs, especially in adverse times. The third study analyzed the availability of the remote version of the ACT Program, based on the following criteria: demand, acceptability, adherence, facilitator evaluation, understanding of the content, satisfaction with the program, and satisfaction with the facilitator, as effects of the program from pre-test to post-test. Eleven mothers/caregivers of children participated in this study. The instruments used were: field diary, evaluation questionnaires from the ACT Program and observers’ evaluation form. The results showed high demand and adherence of the participants, satisfaction with the program, satisfaction with the facilitator as well as increased averages from pre-test to post-test in the four dimensions: parenting styles, means of communication, child development and parental behavior. The fourth study, with a mixed method, analyzed the experience, learning and impact of the intervention in a group of mothers and caregivers in three domains: emotion regulation, communication, and positive discipline. Data were collected from the ACT Program questionnaires (pre and post-test), semi-structured interviews, field diary and follow-up focus group. The results indicated a satisfactory experience of the participants regarding intervention, learning about the topics addressed, and a positive impact on the group through improvement in the three domains, with significant improvement in emotional and behavioral regulation. The conclusion of the four studies allowed the objective of the thesis to be achieved, through a wider approach to the phenomenon, which permitted the collection of theoretical arguments and empirical evidence to advocate that the application of the ACT Program in its remote model is viable and presents both significant learning and impacts in groups of mothers/caregivers of children, thus fostering the promotion of positive educational practices and the prevention of violence against children. |

Para responder a este objetivo, cuatro estudios fueron realizados, por medio de diversas delineaciones metodológicas. En el primer estudio, fue realizado el proceso de adaptación del Programa de ACT para la versión remota. Este fue constituido por cuatro etapas: (1) elaboración del guion con las adaptaciones; (2) evaluación de la propuesta por seis jueces especialistas; (3) realización de modificaciones; y (4) integración de los resultados. Las adaptaciones fueron consideradas adecuadas, siendo realizadas modificaciones de las actividades por medio de plataformas digitales. En la versión remota del Programa de ACT, es posible incluir padres/cuidadores de diferentes lugares de Brasil, ampliando la prevención de la violencia contra el niño. El segundo estudio, de abordaje cualitativo, pretendió comprender las expectativas de madres/cuidadoras sobre la participación en el Programa de ACT en la versión remota. También se propuso identificar la percepción de las participantes sobre educar a un niño en un ambiente seguro. Fueron realizadas entrevistas semiestructuradas con 12 madres/cuidadoras. Los resultados señalaron diferentes expectativas en la participación del Programa de ACT: adquirir nuevos conocimientos, perfeccionar las habilidades parentales, intercambiar experiencias, recibir auxilio en el momento de la pandemia de COVID-19, posibilitar al niño un desarrollo saludable. Para las madres/cuidadoras, educar al niño en un ambiente seguro estaba relacionado a promover educación, salud, ocio, cuidado, afecto y proteger de situaciones de violencia. Se torna importante ofrecer programas parentales, en especial, en momentos adversos. El tercer estudio evaluó la viabilidad del Programa de ACT en la versión remota, en los siguientes criterios: demanda, aceptabilidad, adhesión, evaluación del facilitador, comprensión de los contenidos, satisfacción con el programa y con el facilitador, efectos del programa entre las pruebas previa y posterior. Participaron 11 madres/cuidadoras de niños. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: diario de campo, cuestionarios de evaluación del Programa de ACT y ficha de evaluación de los observadores. Los resultados evidenciaron alta demanda y adhesión de los participantes, satisfacción con el programa y la facilitadora, aumento en las medias de la prueba previa para la posterior, en las cuatro dimensiones: estilos parentales, medios de comunicación, desarrollo infantil y comportamiento de los padres. El cuarto estudio, de delineación mixta, evaluó la experiencia, el aprendizaje y el impacto de la intervención en grupo de madres y cuidadoras, en tres dominios: regulación emocional, comunicación y disciplina positiva. Los datos fueron recolectados a partir de los cuestionarios del Programa de ACT (pruebas previa y posterior), entrevistas semiestructuradas, diario de campo y grupo focal de seguimiento. Los resultados señalaron una experiencia satisfactoria de las participantes en relación con la intervención, aprendizaje acerca de los temas abordados e impacto positivo en el grupo, por medio de la mejoría en los tres dominios, siendo significativa la mejoría en la regulación emocional y conductual. La realización de los cuatro estudios permitió alcanzar el objetivo de la tesis, por medio de un abordaje ampliado del fenómeno, permitiendo reunir argumentos teóricos y evidencias empíricas para defender que la aplicación del Programa de ACT en la versión remota es viable y presenta aprendizajes e impactos significativos en grupo de madres/cuidadoras de niños, fomentando la promoción de prácticas educativas positivas y la prevención de la violencia contra el niño.Esta tese visou adaptar, implementar, avaliar a viabilidade e os efeitos do Programa ACT Para Educar Crianças em Ambientes Seguros na versão remota, em âmbito nacional. As adaptações foram consideradas adequadas, sendo realizadas modificações das atividades por meio de plataformas digitais. Na versão remota do Programa ACT, é possível incluir pais/cuidadores de diferentes locais do Brasil, ampliando a prevenção da violência contra a criança. O segundo estudo, de abordagem qualitativa, objetivou compreender as expectativas de mães/cuidadoras sobre a participação no Programa ACT na versão remota. Também visou identificar a percepção das participantes sobre educar uma criança em um ambiente seguro. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com 12 mães/cuidadoras. Os resultados indicaram diferentes expectativas na participação do Programa ACT: adquirir novos conhecimentos, aprimorar as habilidades parentais; trocar experiências; receber auxílio no momento da pandemia do COVID-19; possibilitar para a criança um desenvolvimento saudável. Para as mães/cuidadoras educar a criança em um ambiente seguro estava relacionado a promover educação, saúde, lazer, cuidado, afeto e proteger de situações de violência. Torna-se importante oferecer programas parentais, em especial, em momentos adversos. O terceiro estudo avaliou a viabilidade do Programa ACT na versão remota, nos seguintes critérios: demanda, aceitabilidade, adesão, avaliação do facilitador, compreensão dos conteúdos, satisfação com o programa e com o facilitador, efeitos do programa entre o pré e pós-teste. Participaram 12 mães/cuidadoras de crianças. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: diário de campo, questionários de avaliação do Programa ACT e ficha de avaliação dos observadores. Os resultados evidenciaram alta demanda e adesão dos participantes, satisfação com o programa e a facilitadora, aumento nas médias do pré para pós-teste, nas quatro dimensões: estilos parentais, meios de comunicação, desenvolvimento infantil e comportamento dos pais. O quarto estudo, de delineamento misto, avaliou a experiência, a aprendizagem e o impacto da intervenção em grupo de mães e cuidadoras, em três domínios: regulação emocional e comportamental, comunicação e disciplina positiva. Os dados foram coletados a partir dos questionários do Programa ACT (pré e pós-teste), entrevistas semiestruturas, diário de campo e grupo focal de follow up. Os resultados indicaram uma experiência satisfatória das participantes em relação a intervenção, aprendizado acerca dos temas abordados; e, impacto positivo no grupo, por meio da melhora nos três domínios, sendo significativa a melhora na regulação emocional e comportamental.
