Resumo: Agrochemicals can interfere in the stress response in fish, physiologically compromising responses to common stressors in your environment. The objective of the study was to evaluate the stress response in fish against acute exposure to sublethal concentrations of chemicals and the ability to communicate chemically a stressful event. Four experiments were performed: 1. Test response to stress and chemical communication of stress; and persistence or recovery; survival and performance parameters; after acute exposure to sublethal concentrations of agrochemicals; 2. Chemical communication of stress; 3. Chemical communication with donors stress fish unable to increase cortisol. 4. Ability to communicate chemically a stressful event donors fish with the hypothalamus-pituitary-interrenal axis harmed by pesticides. With the results we observed chronic inhibition of the stress response, lower rate of survival, inhibition of cortisol response and chemical communication of fish exposed to agrochemicals, even with donors fish unable to raise cortisol, donors fish reported stress to target fish, not depending on the cortisol increase but need activation of the hypothalamus-pituitary-interrenal axis.

O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a resposta ao estresse em peixes frente a exposições aguda a concentrações sub-letais de agroquímicos e a capacidade de comunicar quimicamente um evento estressante. Foram realizados 4 experimentos: 1. Teste de resposta ao estresse e da comunicação química de estresse; persistência e ou recuperação; sobrevivência e parâmetros de desempenho; após exposições agudas a concentrações sub-letais de agroquímicos; 2. Comunicação química de estresse; 3. Comunicação química de estresse com peixes doadores incapazes de aumentar cortisol. 4. Capacidade de comunicar quimicamente um evento estressante de peixes doadores com o eixo hipotálamo-hipófise-interrenal prejudicado por agroquímicos.
