Resumo: | The multiple harvested crops in some oleraceous cultures result in production variability throughout its production cycle. Therefore, the goal of this study was evaluate the production behaviour from cultures of Italian zucchini, bell pepper, green beans, eggplant and cherry tomato throughout the production cycle in function of the portion size and the accumulated thermal sum. Were utilized data from fruit production, gathered in 12 experiments of uniformity that compose the database of Experimentation Sector of UFSM. For each experiment was used a multiple linear regression model of second order and another of first order, using as dependent variables the weight of the fruits by plants or the total weight of the fruits by plants and using as independent variables the accumulated thermal sum and the different sizes of the portions. The estimated production by second order model did not allow a practical biological interpretation for the values from the independent variables that better determine the values of the dependent variable. In the analysis of the first order model was possible identify that each culture showed particular tendencies of production during the cycle that can be related with the different seasons of the year and cultivation environment. By using grouped crops it is possible to reduce the number of null values in the database, raising the determination coefficient, providing greater reliability to the results. |

By using grouped crops it is possible to reduce the number of null values in the database, raising the determination coefficient, providing greater reliability to the results.
