Resumo: | In the last 50 years the antibiotic growth promoters have been used in feed to improve the performance and prevent diseases in broilers. However, due to several discussions about the possibility of bacterial resistance induction and to the international limitations of meat purchase from countries where these promoters are used, some alternative products has been searched in order to substitute those ones. This study aimed to evaluate the addition of CRINA® Poutry Plus (CPP), a blend of benzoic acid and essential oil compounds, in broiler diets and its action as an alternative to antibiotic growth promoters. One thousand five hundred fifty one-day old Cobb 500 males were used in a randomly assigned in 5 treatments with 10 replicate pens of 31 birds each. The diets were: NC-without growth promoters; PC-with 10 ppm of Avilamycin (AVI); CPPD-with 300 ppm of CPP from 1-42 days; AVI(1-21d)/CPP(22-42d)- with 10 ppm AVI from 1–21 days and 300 ppm of CPP from 22-42d and AVI+CPP(1-42d) -with 10 ppm AVI and 300 ppm of CPP from 1-42d. All the diets had the same nutrient levels. The data were submitted to ANOVA and Tukey’s test. At 42 days the NC group had lower (P=0.0001) body weight than others treatments, and CPPD had better weight than PC. CPPD diet increased (P<0.001) body weight gain in 1- 42d period compared to birds fed on NC diet and PC diet. In relation to NC, all other groups showed better feed conversion rate (P<0.001) on 1-42 period and European Productive Efficiency Index (P<0.001). Birds fed with CPPD, AVI(1-21d)/CPP(22-42d) and AVI+CPP(1-42d) presented higher average daily gain than birds fed with NC and PC diets. The NC birds showed lower result in gut lenght (P=0.022) than PC and AVI + CPP(1-42d). The lesion scores by E. acervulina was highest in the NC (P=0.005) and other treatments didn’t show significant differences. For E. maxima and E. tenella, no significant differences were found. The results suggest that CRINA® Poutry Plus can be used as an alternative product to antibiotic growth promoters in broiler diets without losses in productive performance. |

Porém, devido às diversas discussões sobre a possibilidade de resistência bacteriana pelo uso destes antimicrobianos e às limitações internacionais de aquisição de produtos cárneos oriundos de países onde ocorre o uso destes promotores, tem-se buscado produtos alternativos para a substituição dos mesmos. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a adição do produto CRINA® Poutry Plus (CPP), uma combinação de compostos de ácido benzóico e óleos essenciais, em dietas de frangos de corte e sua ação como alternativa aos antibióticos promotores de crescimento. Mil quinhentos e cinqüênta pintos de corte Cobb 500, machos, foram distribuídos em delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado composto por 5 tratamentos com 10 repetições de 31 aves por repetição. As dietas foram: CN – controle negativo, dieta sem promotor de crescimento; CP – controle positivo, dieta com 10 ppm de Avilamicina (AVI); DCPP - dieta com 300 ppm de CPP de 1-42 dias; AVI(1-21d)/CPP(22-42d) - dieta com 10 ppm de AVI de 1–21 dias e 300 ppm de CPP de 22-42dias e AVI+CPP(1-42d) – dieta com 10 ppm de AVI e 300 ppm de CPP de 1-42dias. Todas as dietas possuíam os mesmos níveis nutricionais. Os dados foram submetidos a ANOVA e teste de Tukey. Aos 42 dias de idade, aves do CN apresentaram menor (P=0,0001) peso corporal que os outros tratamentos, e aves do tratamento DCPP tiveram melhor peso quando comparadas ao CP. No período de 1-42 dias, a dieta DCPP aumentou (P=0,0001) o ganho de peso das aves em relação ao CN e CP. Em relação às aves do CN, todas as outras apresentaram melhores conversão alimentar no período de 1-42 dias (P=0,0001) e Índice de Eficiência Produtiva (P=0,0030). Aves alimentadas com DCPP, AVI(1-21d)/CPP(22-42d) e AVI+CPP(1-42d) apresentaram maior ganho de peso médio diário (P=0,0001) que as aves alimentadas com CN e CP. As aves do CN obtiveram menor resultado na availação de comprimento intestinal (P=0,0223) que aves do CP e AVI + CPP(1-42d). Os escores de lesão por E. acervulina foram maiores nas aves do CN (P=0,0050) e as aves dos demais tratamentos não apresentaram diferenças significativas entre si. Para E. maxima e E. tenella não foram encontradas diferenças significativas. Os resultados sugerem que o CRINA® Poutry Plus pode ser utilizado como uma alternativa aos antibióticos promotores de crescimento na alimentação de frangos de corte, sem prejuízos no desempenho das aves.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em ZootecniaUFSMBrasilZootecniaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAditivos fitogênicosÁcido benzóicoPromotor de crescimento alternativoProdução avícolaAlternative growth promotersPoultryBenzoic acidAnimal performancePlant extractsCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ZOOTECNIAÁcido benzóico e óleos essenciais como alternativa aos promotores de crescimento para frangos de corteBenzoic acid and essential oil compounds as an alternative to antibiotic growth promoters in broiler dietsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisRosa, Alexandre Pireshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5343585494040314Ribeiro, Andrea Machado LealLovato, MaristelaXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXAristimunha, Patricia Cruz50040000000260060060017f71f10-d0a7-45fc-b0cd-f3e798dfeaa487b5b321-90a6-4741-9858-3546a07bb492c4692208-057f-485f-879b-1a0dc8a685c92149395c-0f4c-4424-9e6d-3b15fb8424a4reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGZOOTECNIA_2013_ARISTIMUNHA_PATRICIA.pdfDIS_PPGZOOTECNIA_2013_ARISTIMUNHA_PATRICIA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1775969http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/21728/1/DIS_PPGZOOTECNIA_2013_ARISTIMUNHA_PATRICIA.pdfc89957c714fdbe0fe056180c8d7f6117MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
