Resumo: | More than one million people are killed annually around the world as a result of traffic accidents. In Brazil, this epidemic costs the public coffers 56 billion a year. More than half of the fatal accidents in Rio Grande do Sul occur in night or dawn periods, but less than a third of the displacements occur at these times. Considering these affirmatives, road safety devices operating in periods with no sunlight should be effective in order to provide safety to road users. The main devices acting in these periods are road demarcations and retroreflective signs. Therefore, the objective of this research is to follow the retroreflective indices of the road demarcations applied on a section of BR-287, located in the city of Santa Maria - RS. The surface of the pavement is equipped with MRAF. The work consisted in the monitoring of retroreflectivity and surface texture of the stretch during two years. The results showed that these demarcations applied on this type of surface tend to have lower retroreflectivity values than the others, but with the same degradation rate, 0.01% per day. The retroreflectivity values tend to fall more rapidly in the first days of life, presenting a peak near the 30 days and, after that, fall again smoothly until they present a horizontal asymptote. No influence of the precipitation on the retroreflectivity values was found in this study, since in the study section there was little request of the lines in front of the friction with the vehicle tires. The measurement direction does not interfere in the results of retroreflectivity in places where the paint speed was low. The white demarcations present, on average, 30% higher retroreflectivity values compared to the yellow demarcations. The demarcations showed 50% lower retroreflectivity values when measured with geometry equipment equal to 30m when compared to values measured with 15m geometry. When wet, demarcations lose about 80% of their retroreflective capacity. The periodic cleaning of the demarcations was beneficial for the retroreflectivity indices. It was evidenced that the macrotexture of the pavement is directly connected with the retroreflectivity of the demarcations, flatter classes have higher retroreflectivity values. The microtexture of the demarcations also had an influence on the retroreflective properties. In addition, the study determined the optimal rate of application of glass microspheres 325g / m² painted, different from what is today in SICRO 250g / m². |

No Brasil, essa epidemia custa aos cofres públicos 56 bilhões anuais. Mais da metade dos acidentes fatais no Rio Grande do Sul ocorrem em períodos da noite ou madrugada, porém, menos de um terço dos deslocamentos ocorrem nestes horários. Considerando tais afirmativas, os dispositivos de segurança viária atuantes em períodos com ausência da luz solar devem ser efetivos, a fim de proporcionar segurança aos usuários das rodovias. Os principais dispositivos atuantes nestes períodos são as demarcações viárias e placas retrorrefletivias. Com isso, o objetivo desta pesquisa é realizar o acompanhamento dos índices retrorrefletivos das demarcações viárias aplicadas sobre um trecho da BR-287, localizado na cidade de Santa Maria – RS. A superfície do pavimento é dotada de MRAF. O trabalho consistiu no acompanhamento de retrorrefletividade e textura superficial do trecho durante dois anos. Os resultados expuseram que essas demarcações aplicadas sobre este tipo de revestimento tende a apresentar valores de retrorrefletividade inferiores aos demais, porém, com a mesma taxa de degradação, 0,01% ao dia. Os valores de retrorrefletividade tendem a cair mais rapidamente nos primeiros dias de vida, apresentando um pico próximo dos 30 dias e, após isso, voltam a cair de forma suave até apresentarem uma assíntota horizontal. Não foi constatada influencia da precipitação nos valores de retrorrefletividade nesta pesquisa, já que no trecho de estudo havia pouca solicitação das linhas frente ao atrito com os pneus de veículos. O sentido de medição não interfere nos resultados de retrorrefletividade em locais onde a velocidade de pintura foi baixa. As demarcações brancas apresentam, em média, valores 30% maiores de retrorrefletividade frente às demarcações amarelas. As demarcações apresentaram valores de retrorrefletividade 50% menores quando medidas com equipamento de geometria igual a 30m quando comparados aos valores medidos com geometria de 15m. Quando úmidas, as demarcações perdem cerca de 80% de sua capacidade retrorrefletiva. A limpeza periódica das demarcações se mostrou benéfica para os índices de retrorrefletividade. Foi evidenciado que a macrotextura do pavimento está ligada de forma direta com a retrorrefletividade das demarcações, classes mais fechadas apresentam maiores valores de retrorrefletividade. A microtextura das demarcações também apresentou influência sobre as propriedades retrorrefletivas. Além disso, o estudo determinou como taxa ótima de aplicação de microesferas de vidro 325g/m² pintado, diferente do que consta hoje no SICRO 250g/m².porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de TecnologiaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia CivilUFSMBrasilEngenharia CivilAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessRetrorrefletividadeDemarcações viáriasMacrotexturaMicrotexturaPavement markingsRetroreflectivityMacrotextureTraffic safetyMicrotextureCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVILAvaliação do comportamento da retrorrefletividade em rodovia com micro revestimento asfáltico à frioPerformance evaluation of pavement markings retroreflectivity in highway with micro surfacinginfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisPereira, Deividi da Silvahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9639329922610388Nodari, Christine Tesselehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5072553038645672Specht, Luciano Pivotohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8038412953408618http://lattes.cnpq.br/1323732564917269Renz, Eduardo Martins3001000000036000d072c2d-866e-43e2-b694-fb8cf3b784266342cf76-847b-4e6c-a394-91c44c99e4bf0f3cd4fe-28a8-4a06-93ff-a98f06190dfbb1fcffea-b4b7-4214-83f0-f277f9a851a7reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEC_2018_RENZ_EDUARDO.pdfDIS_PPGEC_2018_RENZ_EDUARDO.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf5080126http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/16330/1/DIS_PPGEC_2018_RENZ_EDUARDO.pdf9bd2e5212de2ce06d0e2ee5720905a41MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
