Resumo: The response to inoculation of wheat seeds with Azospirillum brasilense is variable and depends on factors related to the inoculation and the growing environment. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of soil pH, seed treatment, osmoprotective use and the presence of mineral nitrogen on the activity of A. brasilense and the effects of the bacteria on the physiological quality of seeds, growth and physiology of plants and wheat yield. For this, three experiments were carried out using the cultivar TBIO Toruk. The first, conducted in a completely randomized design and in the laboratory, had its treatments organized in a 2x8 bifatorial, with four replicates. The first factor was constituted in the pH levels of the imbibition solution (4.8 and 6.5) and the second, to the treatments applied by seed, being: control (without chemical treatment, additive osmoprotect and A. brasilense), inoculation with A. brasilense (A), chemical treatment (TS), additive osmoprotector (O), A + O, A + TS, O + TS and A + O + TS, where the response of the treatments on the physiological quality of seeds. To isolate the effects of the factors (phytosanitary treatment, osmoprotective additive, nitrogen in the solution, pH of the imbibition solution and A. brasilense) on seedling growth; The second study was subdivided into four substudies, conducted under a hydroponic system, under a completely randomized design, with treatments distributed in a 2x2 bifattal, with four replications. The third study characterized the effects of factors on plant physiological parameters and wheat yield. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design and field conditions, with its treatments distributed in a 2x8 two-factorial, with four replications. The first factor was the soil pH and the second, to the treatments applied by seed, being: control, inoculation with A. brasilense (A), chemical treatment (TS), osmoprotective additive (O), A + O, A + TS, O + TS and A + O + TS. The number of normal seedlings is not influenced by the pH of the imbibition solution and by the treatments applied by seed, however, there is a reduction of seedling vigor with the use of the chemical treatment or osmoprotective additive (Study 1). The pH of the imbibition solution and the presence of nitrogen in the values tested did not influence the effects observed with the inoculation of A. brasilense. With the use of the chemical treatment and the osmoprotector there is no effect of A. brasilense on the growth of wheat seedlings (Study 2). Corrected soil pH and inoculation with A. brasilense increase the activity of the enzyme nitrate reductase. In soil with corrected acidity the inoculation with A. brasilense increases the grain yield of the wheat crop. The use of the chemical treatment has a negative effect on the response to inoculation in the wheat crop, where the use of the osmoprotectant does not attenuate its effects, which negatively influence the response to inoculation with A. brasilense (Study 3). Thus, inoculation with A. brasilense in the absence of chemical treatment and in conditions without soil acidity is justified as an efficient technology to increase wheat crop productivity.

Objetivou-se com esta pesquisa avaliar o efeito do pH do solo de cultivo, tratamento de sementes, uso de osmoprotetor e a presença de nitrogênio mineral, sobre a atividade da A. brasilense e, os efeitos da bactéria sobre a qualidade fisiológica de sementes, crescimento e fisiologia de plantas e a produtividade do trigo. Para isso foram realizados três experimentos utilizando-se a cultivar TBIO Toruk. O primeiro, conduzido no delineamento inteiramente casualizado e em laboratório, teve seus tratamentos organizados em um bifatorial 2x8, com quatro repetições. O primeiro fator constituiu-se nos níveis de pH da solução de embebição (4,8 e 6,5) e o segundo, aos tratamentos aplicados via semente, sendo eles: controle (sem tratamento químico, aditivo osmoprotetor e A. brasilense), inoculação com A. brasilense (A), tratamento químico (TS), aditivo osmoprotetor (O), A+O, A+TS, O+TS e A+O+TS, onde se avaliou a resposta dos tratamentos sobre a qualidade fisiológica de sementes. Para isolar os efeitos dos fatores (tratamento fitossanitário, aditivo osmoprotetor, nitrogênio na solução, pH da solução de embebição e A. brasilense) sobre o crescimento de plântulas; o segundo estudo foi subdividido em quatro subestudos, conduzidos em sistema hidropônico, sob delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com tratamentos distribuídos em um bifatorial 2x2, com quatro repetições. O terceiro estudo caracterizou os efeitos dos fatores sobre parâmetros fisiológicos de plantas e a produtividade do trigo. O mesmo foi conduzido no delineamento de blocos casualizados e em condições de campo, com os seus tratamentos distribuídos em um bifatorial 2x8, com quatro repetições. O primeiro fator referiu-se aos níveis de pH do solo e o segundo, aos tratamentos aplicados via semente, sendo eles: controle, inoculação com A. brasilense (A), tratamento químico (TS), aditivo osmoprotetor (O), A+O, A+TS, O+TS e A+O+TS. O número de plântulas normais não é influenciado pelo pH da solução de embebição e pelos tratamentos aplicados via semente, entretanto, há redução do vigor de plântulas com a utilização do tratamento químico ou aditivo osmoprotetor (Estudo 1). O pH da solução de embebição e a presença de nitrogênio, nos valores testados, não influenciam sobre os efeitos observados com a inoculação da A. brasilense. Com a utilização do tratamento químico e do osmoprotetor não há efeito da A. brasilense no crescimento de plântulas de trigo (Estudo 2). O pH do solo corrigido e a inoculação com A. brasilense incrementam a atividade da enzima nitrato redutase. Em solo com acidez corrigida a inoculação com A. brasilense incrementa a produtividade de grãos da cultura do trigo. A utilização do tratamento químico influi negativamente sobre a resposta à inoculação na cultura do trigo, onde a utilização do osmoprotetor não atenua seus efeitos, os quais influem negativamente sobre a resposta à inoculação com A. brasilense (Estudo 3). Assim, a inoculação com A. brasilense na ausência de tratamento químico e em condições sem acidez do solo justifica-se como uma tecnologia eficiente para incrementar a produtividade da cultura do trigo.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AgronomiaUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSolução de embebiçãoParâmetros radicularesHidroponiaEstresse oxidativoNitrato redutaseAcidez do soloImbibition solutionRoot parametersHydroponicsOxidative stressNitrate reductaseAcidity of soilCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIATratamento químico, uso de aditivos, Azospirillum brasilense e pH do solo na cultura do trigoChemical treatment, use of additives, Azospirillum brasilense and soil pH in wheat cultureinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisMartin, Thomas Newtonhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6293291442552572Jacques, Rodrigo Josemar SeminotiBenin, GiovaniVieira, Frederico Costa BeberTabaldi, Luciane Almerihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6234614281739633Pinto, Marlo Adriano Bison5001000000096006006006006006006009e1c6638-c7fe-4365-a605-30d9ac89ada62f1c68bf-6146-4fa0-98e9-0e0b984c6805da4dd5af-943f-4a59-a688-cbb4ef14d9b17a9217ac-4282-4df9-9b94-0676fb19f8fa5d233f92-f5cf-4851-b016-76b426007220e45e85b3-444c-42ba-bfbd-a818a1a24a69reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_PINTO_MARLO.pdfTES_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_PINTO_MARLO.pdfTeseapplication/pdf2334529http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/20742/1/TES_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_PINTO_MARLO.pdfafced9ddbd3c523babb48edb94e52f3aMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
