Comparação entre os sistemas construtivos em alvenaria convencional e painéis monolíticos de poliestireno expandido (EPS) para habitações unifamiliares

Resumo: Considering the viability of the constructive system in monolithic panels in expanded polystyrene as an alternative to conventional masonry, the present study deals with the comparison of constructive systems for single-family houses, in order to carry out comparisons of constructive scopes, performance and financial. Therefore, it was necessary to emphasize constructive aspects of the two systems, as well as studies carried out in order to clarify aspects of performance and financial costs. A basic and exploratory research with a quali-quantitative approach was then carried out, in order to gather information for carrying out the comparisons. In view of this, it was resisted that the constructive aspects of the expanded polystyrene (EPS) panel system increase its productivity by requiring less labor demand, an example of this is in the execution of the walls with which the EPS system is about 186 % faster. It was also possible to observe an excellent thermal performance of the EPS panels, as a 15 cm wall in EPS is equivalent to a 98 cm wall in masonry for this item. Finally, a saving of 29.13% was achieved when using the monolithic system in relation to conventional masonry, where it was possible to conclude that the system in monolithic panels of expanded polystyrene is an economically and constructively viable alternative when compared to conventional masonry.

Para tanto, foi necessário ressaltar aspectos construtivos dos dois sistemas, assim como estudos realizados a fim de esclarecer aspectos de desempenho e custos financeiros. Realizou-se, então, uma pesquisa básica e exploratória com abordagem quali-quantitativa, a fim de levantar informações para a realização das comparações. Diante disso, verificou-se que os aspectos construtivos do sistema de painéis em poliestireno expandido (EPS) aumentam sua produtividade por necessitar menor demanda de mão de obra, um exemplo disso é na execução das paredes as quais o sistema em EPS é cerca de 186% mais rápido. Também foi possível observar um ótimo desempenho térmico dos painéis em EPS, pois uma de parede de 15 cm em EPS equivale a uma de 98 cm em alvenaria para este quesito.
